Reviews

ThrillMessage There are better movies of two hours length. I loved the actress'performance.
Tayyab Torres Strong acting helps the film overcome an uncertain premise and create characters that hold our attention absolutely.
Kaelan Mccaffrey Like the great film, it's made with a great deal of visible affection both in front of and behind the camera.
Hattie I didn’t really have many expectations going into the movie (good or bad), but I actually really enjoyed it. I really liked the characters and the banter between them.
walt dies You know lads this film was an absolute banger. Few years back a mate big Tyler recommended it to me, 3 years down the line and I've finally watched it. what a film; fighting is smashing, smashing is fighting. All in all what a film. I especially love the character of Hammer-man as he reminds me of the rapper David Banner. Sorry lads but that's all i have to say, apparently these fools want your favorite geezer here to write 10 lines, I don't work like that mate. so sadly now I have to finish these 10 lines on a downer because all that's great about Blood and Bone can be summed up in the lines above. peace out my friends, I'll see you in the next review. This 10th line is the end, goodbye my friends.
Johan Dondokambey The story is so flat that it incites no curiosity or interest to it. If you're watching this digitally, you can literally skip much of the parts and stop at a random point without losing much of the story development. Everything feels predictable and under-developed. There's too many characters put into the movie without adequate significance yet with slow paced scenes, making them look like they are significant although essentially they're there just as glitter. The fight scenes are surely the main attraction for this movie. Michael Jai White can surely deliver great techniques. But that quickly turns into boring due to all the fights, except with Price, has a "Steven Segall syndrome" in which the main character seems to be a god-like martial arts expert, no getting hit any single time. The acting is just flat all around. I guess this will at least be the start of the end of Michael Jai White's career.
celtic451 I just finished watching this movie. I don't know how you could give this movie anything other than a 10 rating. Superb acting, production, writing, and very realistic martial arts and fighting. I loved every bit of it. I wish they would make a 2nd one. Michael White was amazing both in acting and fighting. Great story line too. It had motivating subplots and a perfect blend of mysteries in the plot to keep you wanting more. A 10 out of 10 easy on this one. A must see. Michael White's acting was both realistic and moving in my opinion. I actually started to want to be like him. Not just physically but personality-wise as well. He was very smooth purposeful in this movie and just amazing in my opinion. I have to go now so I can go out and buy it.
Alexandros Konstantaras This movie is what I expected it to be, a not so deep martial arts film where an inmate gets out of prison and starts fighting in the streets but for a deep cause. The fighting scenes( the most important part of the film) where good but could be a little more interesting and last longer, the acting was mediocre and Michael stand out from the others. The plot is really cliché and not very interesting. It isn't very violent and lacks nudity so you can watch it with family, provided that the kids are older than 13 years old. You will not regret watching this movie but you will not remember it long after watching it either. Good film but not great!
