Karry Best movie of this year hands down!
SnoReptilePlenty Memorable, crazy movie
VeteranLight I don't have all the words right now but this film is a work of art.
Fatma Suarez The movie's neither hopeful in contrived ways, nor hopeless in different contrived ways. Somehow it manages to be wonderful
Jitendra Kotai This movie is way ahead of its times. This generation is flawed but it is not accepting its flaws. This film depicts reality of mindsets in today's tinder generation. You swipe right and whoop it is a date. The major problem is acceptance. we are all wearing masks of being self righteous and pure. And the alter ego ends up committing heinous crimes. Befikre will have a cult following in the future. The film has excellent music and is very entertaining
Rahul143125 1. SUMMARY: Dharam Gulati (Ranveer Singh) moves to Paris to become a stand-up comedian. There he meets Shyra (Vaani Kapoor), a French tourist guide brought up in Paris by Punjabi parents, in a party. He parties with her and both hookup with each other the same night. Dharam and Shyra now enter a live-in relationship and start giving crazy dares to each other. But their relationship doesn't last long and they both breakup. After one year of their breakup they befriend each other. Now Dharam starts dating Christine (Julie Ordon), a French girl whereas Shyra dates Aney (Armaan Ralhan), an investment banker. Aney proposes Shyra for marriage wherein Shyra accepts the proposal. Seeing Shyra making plans for marriage, Dharam too decides to marry Christine, also they (Dharam and Shyra) both decide to marry on the same date. But one day before the marriage Dharam tells Shyra the truth that he isn't ready for marriage. Thus Shyra tells Dharam to break the marriage. During the conversation both start developing love for each other. Will Dharam and Shyra reconcile their love relationship or no?2. STORY, SCREENPLAY AND DIALOGUES: Story and Screenplay penned by Aditya Chopra is usual, he has an ability to write a script better than this because his previous film Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi's script was invited to be included in the Margaret Herrick Library of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, just a day after its release. Sharat Katariya penned the Dialogues for Befikre which were as usual as the film's Story and Screenplay. Overall the the film's script could have been improvised by Mr. Aditya Chopra who is the captain of the ship named "Befikre".3. PERFORMANCES: Ranveer Singh's performance in this film was good. He is not only the lead actor of the movie but also the second captain of the ship named "Befikre", whereas Vaani Kapoor's acting fails to entertain the audience.4. DIRECTION AND OTHER TECHNICAL ASPECTS: Direction by Mr. Aditya Chopra is good, he has visualized the script really well and has created good vision for the young audience to make them understand the concept that "LOVE IS A DARE" which is also an instrumental song in the film. But as mentioned before, such a concept wasn't well digested by all types of audience; the film grasped it's attention only towards the youth. Songs by Vishal-Shekhar and Background Score by Mikey McCleary is really amazing. Cinematography by Kaname Onoyama is fine whereas editing by National Award winner Namrata Rao is very sharp and clear. Overall, the film's direction and technical aspects are appropriate.5. BOX - OFFICE VERDICT: As this film has released during currency demonetization in India and due to the film's vulgarity and intimate scenes this movie has less chances of doing break-even point business for YRF. Befikre has a budget of 70 crore and such a film cannot be profitable for the distributors but as the film's producers and distributor is Aditya Chopra this film may recover it's cost through satellite and various other rights. Thus Befikre is definitely not a box-office "Hit" but only a "Below Average" or a "Flop". 6. RATING: Because of the film's usual script and unnecessary intimate scenes I'll give it 2/4.
shobanchittuprolu Befikre (2016): I never have any problem with lengthy duration like The Godfather,LOTR series but I never felt bored. In fact I enjoyed those films and remained classics. Why am I comparing those classics with Befikre?I am coming to the point. While I was watching Befikre, suddenly I felt that this movie is coming to its ending at last so I checked my watch but to my shock just 1 hour of the movie has completed:(:(:( At that moment itself I felt that how do I have to bear this crap for another hour..Plot: A quintessential Delhi boy Dharam (Ranveer Singh) comes to Paris for work in search of an adventure. Just when he was about to embark on this journey of his life he bumps into a wild, free spirited, French born Indian girl Shyra (Vaani Kapoor). A feisty romance ensues between the two in which both of their personalities- one being an equal match for the other are tested to the limit. Battling their ups and downs, both realize that love is a leap of faith that can only be taken by those who dare to love.Plus Points:1)Ranveer Singh: With his typical but decent performance Raveer Singh is the only saving grace of the movie. He was very well suited and humorous in his respective role as Dharam Gulati who played a comedian/playboy.2)Cinematography: Kaname Onoyama's cinematography is brilliant. He did extremely well showing the exotic Paris with beautiful camera work.3)Nashe se Chad gayi: This is the only song which is very good and choreography in this song is very good.A good number for parties.Minus Points: Apart from what I have written in plus points, rest of the movie is crap.Aditya Chopra, the legend who gave best romantic movie of India with DDLJ,gave this utter rubbish. This movie was titled Befikre which means Without any worries. So I waited a lot to see what they will do "that crazy" without any worries. But only thing I found is that they only have sex and some kissing without worries.Clearly a wrong title for this movie.Vaani Kapoor looked like a weird robot in few scenes. Her look is terrible. The movie has 23 kissing scenes! One of the largest Bollywood movies have ever got. This is the only thing the makers wanted to attract and if you want to watch those weird kisses, you can watch this crap.Otherwise avoid this and save your valuable time..My rating 4/10
Andre Santhumayor BEFIKRE is a rom-com directed by Aditya Chopra, starring Ranveer Singh and Vaani Kapoor. The film revolves around the relationship of Dharam (Singh) and Shyra (Kapoor) in the city of Paris. The main problem this film does possess is the fact that it is hemmed by a director who made an Indian classic (DDLJ), hence people are naturally expecting a lot. However, that being said, this film is a good entertainer. Yes, it does have an extremely predictable storyline and many people might be a bit annoyed with the physical affection, but I do appreciate the western outlook to rather Indian storyline. Aditya Chopra has definitely experimented on something and all due credit where it is deserved. The film tries to keep it breezy. Beware, the film doesn't weigh in much on a story, but Ranveer Singh's acting does manage to keep the film afloat. His sheer charisma and energy elevates the dialogues as well. Vaani Kapoor does quite a good job, but it doesn't match up to her co-star. All the other supporting cast do a great job as well. However, the music in this film is superb, in my opinion. Composed by Vishal and Shekhar, the soundtrack manage to elevate the film as well. The background score is great as well.In conclusion, don't go into this one expecting too much. Befikre is slightly ambitious, but it manages to entertain. The second half tends to drag for a bit long, and there is this extremely 'bad comedy ending' to it. But excluding those, Befikre makes for a fun timepass.BEFIKRE- 5/10
