Pluskylang Great Film overall
Listonixio Fresh and Exciting
Philippa All of these films share one commonality, that being a kind of emotional center that humanizes a cast of monsters.
Justina The film never slows down or bores, plunging from one harrowing sequence to the next.
turtlelord-23715 This movie was freaking incredible. I figured it would just be a fun nighttime watch but it was way more. I would especially like to point out how my jaw dropped multiple times at what happened throughout the movie. I won't spoil anything but around 10 minutes left in the movie I was speachless at the plot twist. Excellent movie and I recommend to anyone that likes Jaws or sharks in general.
Nelson Strang I thought long and hard about whether this was a 2-star or a 3-star. In the end, I realised that it just doesn't make sense, so it's a 2-star. It feels exactly like someone said, "We've got this boat, some diving equipment and we can get Matthew Modine for a day or two. Let's see what kind of a film we can make." The answer is, "Not a very good one." It doesn't entertain, it doesn't thrill, there's no suspense, it's full of all the usual clichés and it drags, even though it's quite short. Avoid.
sergelamarche The title giving away the drama to come, the whole film seemed predictable. The details were well thought but it felt like girls in trouble was very premeditated. Maybe it could be a mob hit?
chicken_chaser-23240 Do not start me on this movie. okay, i'll start. 47 meters down consists of privileged/stupid white women (one who's dramatic and another who uses her sisters pain to talk her into it) and people who are very illogical. oh and i can't forget about the inconsistancy of the shark's intelligence (one moment it can track the human out from a cave and another moment its oblivious to a lady hiding behind a rock). also, the men who run this shark diving activity are super sketchy and i have no clue why they trusted them. like, ms, the minute you're out there they're throwing chum ILLEGALLY into the ocean. mm cool. currently i'm writing this review while watching, so you get my full take on this movie. one positive thing is i can really tell the cgi so i won't get scared from seeing the sharks at least. ugh, if you wanna watch a horror movie, don't watch this. i hope you enjoyed my rant on this, check out my comedic review.
