Abbigail Bush what a terribly boring film. I'm sorry but this is absolutely not deserving of best picture and will be forgotten quickly. Entertaining and engaging cinema? No. Nothing performances with flat faces and mistaking silence for subtlety.
Taha Avalos The best films of this genre always show a path and provide a takeaway for being a better person.
isabelmihalakos i hate every single character. i hate the slut and the pushy boyfriends and the ungrateful brat amy. and i hate the way ben says baby, it makes me uncomfortable. ben in a whole makes me uncomfortable. plus ricky had one episode saying he fell for amy and episodes after never spoke of it again. i could only go up to season 2 ep 4 before i found myself pulling my hair out and screaming at amy through the screen about how much of a bitch she is. adrien or however you spell her name i seriously don't care is always telling ricky shes not sleeping with him anymore and then the next episode she is. plus there were about two episodes that showed her stepbrother as a love interest but it never explained what happened to him or why he left besides the fact she was embarrassed to say i love you. all in all i really hate this show and its totally unrealistic characters. im stopping myself from watching this before i become bald.
Samantha Gavrilko I decided to start watching this on Netflix. One season in, I decided to read the reviews to see what other people thought. I saw nothing but negative posts about how unrealistic this show is and how people aged 15-50 alike all couldn't get on board with the show. Despite these negative reviews, I wanted to like the show. I found myself crying and laughing at the first season. I like shows I can really.... feel. And then everything went to sh*t. I can forgive teenagers saying "I love you" after knowing each other for a day because they're teenagers.... but when the mom met a guy at some shitty job and they started saying I love you to each other after a few days, I threw my hands up in the air (actually, in real life) and said "nope, I'm done."The character development is poor, the story line is cliché (which I can forgive) and it made me not only stop watching mid-season, but I stopped watching mid-episode.
tinarox731 The show was okay. It started off with a good storyline- innocent freshman girl gets pregnant at camp from a one night the stand she had with a player, "bad boy". In season one though, I didn't like how Ben was involved with the whole pregnancy, like come on, I think Ricky wanted to be part of it if she would have let him. I think he also went all out with the whole "you're pregnant so I'm going to propose to you now even though it's not my baby". Relax. You're in high school. This isn't the rest of your life. So after she gives birth, it got interesting because I wondered how she was going to take care of a newborn and go to school at the same time, but they made it interesting. In my opinion though, I think the show was too dragged on. I think the show having 5 seasons was unnecessary because it started getting boring and the writers would come up with little irrelevant story lines that were unnecessary. The show was good, but after a while, I just made myself finish it just to know what happens in the finale. I wish that when the writers came up with the storyline, they had a storyline for the whole series instead of just having a storyline for the first two.
Kirsten Vogel You can clearly tell the intentions of the writers and creator within the first few episodes: abortions are the devils work & adopting out a baby is also never an option in teen pregnancy. This show really makes me sad to think that young girls are watching this and thinking if you get pregnant as a teen, you MUST keep the baby or everyone (including God) will hate you. Aside from that, Amy is probably the most annoying bitch of a character and I think all the viewers are rooting against her at this point. She is always either angry or sad, never have I seen a happy or excited emotion from her. She treats her parents like dirt and treats Ben like a doormat. Then she bitches about having to watch HER baby because she wants to go out and do stuff with her friends. WORST CHARACTER EVER. The only thing that I enjoy is Amy's dad George, his random comments and actions are actually quite funny and bring the rest of this horrible show up for the couple minutes he's in an episode. I also enjoy Ricky and Adrian, they seem like the only level headed people on the show.
