twothousandoperas This show is so good. I don't care that much about its commentary on wealth and the "American Dream" - it's not that clever. But the plot itself is top notch entertainment! This family gets into situations so intense that you are literally on the edge of your seat waiting to find out how they will get out of this one - and the payoff is always extremely satisfying. It is about a family who are walking on VERY thin ice, and it is cracking all around them, but they keep on floating. Not to mention that the performances were good from every cast member (Minnie's son is a bit annoying, but we forgive him). I am tremendously upset that this show got cut off in the middle of the second season - I am still hoping that someone will come to their senses..

dewgirl777 I am absolutely taken by this show. In a time where reality TV has run a muck - the cast is pure talent. Gold. I love this show and am so upset to hear this may be the end. If FX has any common sense they'll keep this one! The chemistry between Eddie Izzard and Minnie Driver is amazing - you can clearly tell that they relate to one another. The kids are all very unique and extremely well played. I don't think they could have gotten better actors/actresses for these roles. Even crazy Dale is amazing. I never understood why they don't try rerunning these shows from the first season to see if they could nab anyone else. They didn't do much in ways of advertising for it - since I just happened upon it a couple months ago. If you haven't seen it, you simply HAVE to! It's addicting!

suessanderson I haven't been into "prime time" television in a while, other than reruns of older programs. However, FOX is now my network and Monday nights are the ONLY nights of the weeks that I actually "plan" to watch something. First, it is "Drive"(since it is on earlier in the evening), then I can hardly wait until my new fave, "The Riches" appears.From the very first commercial "teaser" I saw with Eddie Izzard, for some reason I was already hooked and could not wait until the show FINALLY came on. It seemed like FOREVER all of those weeks of previews.I definitely was not disappointed as this is a fresh, new idea for a show and the ensemble of performers is nothing less than perfect. They are so believable and just do an awesome job each week of convincing me that there are people out there like them.KUDOS to you "Riches" cast and to FOX for being the smart network for snagging it!
