Synopsis

Crank up the 8-track and flash back to a time when platform shoes and puka shells were all the rage in this hilarious retro-sitcom. For Eric, Kelso, Jackie, Hyde, Donna and Fez, a group of high school teens who spend most of their time hanging out in Eric’s basement, life in the ‘70s isn’t always so groovy. But between trying to figure out the meaning of life, avoiding their parents, and dealing with out-of-control hormones, they’ve learned one thing for sure: they’ll always get by with a little help from their friends.

Freaktana A Major Disappointment
Roman Sampson One of the most extraordinary films you will see this year. Take that as you want.
Kaydan Christian A terrific literary drama and character piece that shows how the process of creating art can be seen differently by those doing it and those looking at it from the outside.
Fleur Actress is magnificent and exudes a hypnotic screen presence in this affecting drama.
tstudstrup Having watched the first season and some of the second season I have to say that this show is lacking alot. The characters are bland and one dimensional and making fun of a depressing and ugly decade like the seventies gets old real fast. Only good thing: the cast look like actual teens unlike the very adult cast of Beverly Hills 90210 playing teens. But at least that show had well written as well as well acted characters. There isnt much chemistry between Topher Grace and Laura Prepon and waiting for Donna to get in the sack with Eric tries my patience. Ive seen several movies with Topher Grace, before I ever saw this show and he is so much better in those movies, than he is on this show. He deserved better than not being offered any parts anymore. Kurtwood Smith is funny, but he will always be Clarence Boddicker from Robocop, no matter what he plays.Debra Jo Rupp will always make me uncomfortable as I cant help but think of her character on Friends, where she plays an old schoolteacher that has a relationship with one of her students who is also Phoebes younger brother. That always grossed me out. Ashton Kutcher playing dumb stopped being funny a long time ago. Mila Kunis is cute but annoying. Danny Masterson as Hyde is the only actor on the show, that plays an interesting character that has some kind of personality. It makes me sad to look at Lisa Robin Kelly, because she's dead today. The rest of the cast, including Don Stark is so much better in other things. The only reason I keep watching this, is because there are no better newer sitcoms worth watching. Ive tried The Big Bang Theory and New Girl and they just run out of steam after only a few seasons. I miss a really funny sitcom and I cannot recommend That 70's show to anybody. Unless they find the lame predictable humor funny. And you have to be stupid to find it funny.
ComedyFan2010 I really loved this show. There were almost no bad episodes. The first few seasons were absolutely perfect. The last one was not as great because two of the main characters were gone but they still managed to keep it at a good level and ended it at a right time.Like with many shows there were some problems with characters after a few seasons. The running jokes of Kitty drinking and Fez being a perv in a closet were a bit annoying. And I didn't like Hyde when he was dating Jackie. Usually he was a great character but then he was mainly getting on my nerves.I don't know 70's so I don't know how accurate it was but I liked it being set in a different decade. This way the references to that time sometimes made the show funner and more original. Each character was great and well thought out. My favorite though was Mrs. Kitty. Hilarious and amazing acting. I was also surprised to find out that many of the actors never had an acting jib before the show because they were all so good.I wish they would make That 90's Show now.
Aqeel Janahi When I started watching the show I did not have high expectations. I was not expecting it to top any Sitcom. I remember enjoying season one but I did not get attached to any character except for perhaps Red and Kitty. Seasons two and three were relatively better than the first season. But as I continued watching further, the plot kept repeating itself especially when it comes to the love life of the characters. Seasons seven and eight is the time that the show hit a rock-bottom to me especially season eight. The TV show goes through many changes. The only constant element to the show are Eric's parents Red and Kitty which are genuinely funny. Would I recommend this show? It depends on the person I'm recommending it to. If someone actually lived during the 70s and feels nostalgic they can check this show.
dylanbarile-02764 (may or may not contain spoilers) one time on a vacation i didn't have anything to do so my mom had me watch episode 1, i loved it. i can relate to a lot of the characters (especially Fez and Kelso) and find them all lovable in some way. the show relies on crude, stupid and slapstic humor but is absolutely hilarious. my favorite character is Leo (the stoner dude who has me on the floor laughing). this show has me dying of laughter all of the time and it never gets old. and it also has a good sense of emotion (Donna and Erics first breakup had me in tears lol), and also knows how to make you laugh seconds later.tip: if your going to watch it, i'd recommend binge watching because the longer you watch it for the funnier it gets (for me at least)
