Comwayon A Disappointing Continuation
Hattie I didn’t really have many expectations going into the movie (good or bad), but I actually really enjoyed it. I really liked the characters and the banter between them.
Zandra The movie turns out to be a little better than the average. Starting from a romantic formula often seen in the cinema, it ends in the most predictable (and somewhat bland) way.
Logan By the time the dramatic fireworks start popping off, each one feels earned.
denise-simon3 This movie was hilarious! It took way too many liberties and was funny! If people were thinking this was going to be a real movie about the Ark, they were very disappointed. I knew 10 minutes into the start that it was a drama comedy. The acting was pretty good for the most part. There were several catch phrases I think I might use. I never caught this movie from the beginning and we didn't have the technology we have today 14 years ago. When I saw it was coming on again, I taped it so I could watch it from the beginning. If you are looking for a light-hearted story, this is it. People shouldn't be so serious. Watch the movie and have a good laugh!
galet09 This is a joke right? I watched this once long ago and forgot that I watched it, so I watched it again. Should have changed the channel. The huge oversight in the movie, first and foremost is when the writers wrote the screenplay for this, they totally messed up the Lot/Sodom and Gomorrah story. Noah NEVER met Lot.Sodom and Gomorrah happened long after Noah was gone and the one who saved Lot was Abram later re-named Abraham by the Lord God. The filmmakers should have read the Bible passages that dealt with Noah. The only thing Noah and his family were responsible for is building the Ark and saving their own family. If you want to see a more accurate and entertaining version of Noah's Ark see the segment contained in the movie "The Bible," released in 1966. That starred the great actor John Huston as Noah who gave a lot of depth, some comedic flare as well as believability to the role of Noah. Plus even the voice of God was more believable. Another thing the writers left out was that Lot had two daughters that were also saved. Judging from all the reviews I read the majority of people who viewed this movie, thought it was horrible. All in all this movie was just plain awful. Both in Biblical inaccuracies, acting and the plot. They even had some strange bit in there about Noah and others going mad on the ship which also was inaccurate. So all things considered, I do not recommend this movie.
bentbristles If you know your scripture you will be horrified at what you see. I honestly think this was NBC's way of making a mockery of God's Word. I turned it off as soon as I saw the man in a row boat paddling up to the Ark. Revelation 22:18 I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, if any man shall add unto them, God shall add unto him the plagues which are written in this book:19 and if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the tree of life, and out of the holy city, which are written in this book.
Desertman84 Noah's Ark is a 1999 TV movie directed by John Irvin that features Jon Voight and Mary Steenburgen together with F. Murray Abraham,Mark Bazeley,Jonathan Cake,Alexis Denisof,Emily Mortimer and Sydney Tamiia Poitier. It tells the Biblical story of Noah's Ark from the Book of Genesis.Noah is an ordinary laborer who one day begins receiving messages from God. It seems the Lord has a special assignment for him: since God is planning on destroying the world with a massive flood, he wants Noah to build a giant ark and fill it with one male and one female of each animal on earth. So why Noah of all people? As God tells him, "You fit the bill. Good times, bad times, you believe in me." And why a 500-foot- long ark? "I think big! I made the world in seven days!" Joining Noah on the trip of a lifetime is his wife Naamah and many animals. This is very bad and clumsy movie. It is an example of how a filmmaker makes an irresponsible work to make Biblical movie.Taking artistic license to tell a story ultimately changed the real events as narrated in the Book of Genesis. It seems that producer deliberately made up everything, to show that Bible for him is just a book of fairy tales.Only the presence of Jon Voight and his performance as Noah together with the cast saved this movie from the lowest rating.
