Wordiezett So much average
InformationRap This is one of the few movies I've ever seen where the whole audience broke into spontaneous, loud applause a third of the way in.
Asad Almond A clunky actioner with a handful of cool moments.
Delight Yes, absolutely, there is fun to be had, as well as many, many things to go boom, all amid an atmospheric urban jungle.
normstobert If you like Pawn Stars, great, go watch it and quit complaining about Hardcore Pawn! I watch Pawn Stars too but it's a whole different show with completely different reasons for being popular. What I love about Hardcore Pawn is the wacky people that come in and try to force them to do things - like give them a certain amount of money for something, etc. and get thrown out. In fact, my favorite character on the show is the bouncer - that dude is funny! ALL pawn shops buy way low and sell way high - that's how they survive, so saying that people get ripped off is stupid. Nobody is forcing them to pawn or sell their stuff - they can turn around and walk out and list it on Craigslist or Ebay (in fact I think most people who go to Pawn Stars in Vegas would do way better selling it an alternate way!). So get over the annoying owners kids - that's a selling point of the show! Trust me, I can't stand them either!
williebaker9090 So I started watching this show about a month ago and believed for about 5 mins it might be real. It's about an old man who grew a legitimate business and has his spoiled ass rich white kids working for him, apparently they all have equal ownership cause the kids pretty much do whatever they want and talk to their dad as they please. The kids are by far the worst part of the show. First off the fat nasty b***t Ashley is the most rude and unprofessional "business owner"I have seen, she is rude to the customers, insults them and lowballs then far worse then the other 2, a customer will have to Lower their price about 4 times before she gives her first offer, and is often seen at the window being disrespectful, if I was to walk in this shop if it were be she would be the one to Avoid. The probably be best off to hide her in the back. Then the homo Seth really just needs to come out of the closet. He is almost just as bad as Ashley. He is a cry baby the most disrespectful to the dad always question his Authority, try's to look like a Badass by running his mouth hiding behind a 7ft 400 pound gorilla. The dad is probably the best out of the 3 if he'd cut that dumb ass ponytail and maybe Change his clothes possibly cover that bald head with a cowboy hat or something. This shown makes black people look bad by giving crackheads $20 to make a fool of themselves and get thrown, however I find it rather comical as a white man(my wife is black) that they exploit every black stereotype possible. as much smack as there is to talk about this show I still find myself watching it a lot.
Brandon Morales This is for T.V ratings and money, nothing more. This suppose to be a professional business, but look at how they act? Even family would be fired if they acted in such a way like Ashley and Seth acts, but who am I kidding? The father is just as worst, getting in people faces and threatening them. What makes me angry is how they talk on t.v away from the customer about how great something is and how much they can make by selling it, but then they tell the customer how bad it is or how they can get it from this place or that, etc, and to top it off there offers are extremely low and I have seen some nice stuff up there. I recently seen a car worth $15,000+ and they offered $4,000, FOH! My advice to people is to start selling their stuff online if they have internet. Some guy also came in there stating how some of the stuff they sale are fake, and he even had the paperwork. As usual the dad overreacts go to the back with the kids and say the guy is bluffing, but he wont prove it on national t.v like he normally does. The show went off. I wonder why the ex security guard didn't come out with the book? I wonder how much hush money they paid him.
survivalist-810-698711 Dumb show, because (a) So much is obviously scripted.(b) They try very hard to create/find drama that just isn't there. If your idea of high drama is a a disorderly customer, then party on.A lot of people here talk about the Golds "ripping people off". Well...maybe. That $500 engagement ring was never really worth $500. It's worth some small margin over the melt value. If the gold is only worth $70 and the Golds offer $35, people here cry "ripoff! paying $35 for a $500 ring!" But it really isn't - they'll pay $35, sell for $70. Keep in mind a lot of that stuff sits for a long time, overhead is high, and many things that people bring in are in gross oversupply. $10 for a microwave doesn't surprise me. Also remember some percentage of your inventory will just vanish because it'll turn out to be stolen. However, the "I'm glad we could help" is just BS. Les Gold & family have never "helped" anyone. They are in business and are not a charity. That smugness wears thin very fast. I wouldn't trust Les Gold any further than I could throw him.Anyway, it's a show full of poverty-level people trying to get a few bucks for junk. There could actually be a good show - take two or three of those people per show, interview them, show how they got where they are, followup, all with the pawnshop as a backdrop. That could be interesting...but as it is, we only know customers for 3 minutes at a time and they quickly become a sea of sameness."You never know what to expect!" Actually, we do - every episode has a few people who get mad you won't give them much, a few people who've lost their receipts or messed up their transactions, and A LOT OF SETH AND ASHLEY ACTING LIKE THEY'RE IN 8TH GRADE.Who cares about Seth and Ashley? Seriously.Pawn Stars is the Antiques Road Show compared to Hardcore Pawn. Pawn Stars is also pretty fake but at least you get to learn about cool old stuff...Hardcore Pawn is just bottom-fishing for fake drama.
