Moustroll Good movie but grossly overrated
CommentsXp Best movie ever!
Maidexpl Entertaining from beginning to end, it maintains the spirit of the franchise while establishing it's own seal with a fun cast
Billy Ollie Through painfully honest and emotional moments, the movie becomes irresistibly relatable
hottiebootyboii I was just introduced to this show by my sister and I fell in love with it immediately. They are so creative and funny with all the songs and it's so well done. The main character is absolutely insane and it's pure genius. She moves across the country to find her childhood crush and manipulates everyone and everything to get involved with him and his friend group yet she's extremely like-able and funny. I don't think any show has been made like this before. Can't wait for season 4!
harrisonlundy I remember stumbling on this show through YouTube. The first glimpse I got of it was the song "Love Kernels." After watching that, all I could think was "oh my God, I have to see this show." The musical genius this show carries with it may not appeal to everyone, but I want to urge everyone to try watching the first few episodes and decide for yourself. This show is raw, real, and relatable above all else. I can imagine myself in the same scenarios that the main character Rebecca finds herself in, and I can imagine myself acting the same ways as well. There are several moments every episode where I laugh out loud, because the script is satisfyingly unpredictable. You can see the HBO-esque roots of the show in the songwriting as well, as many have mature, satirical undertones to them. Rachel Bloom, of course, delivers my favorite performance overall, with Donna Lynne Champlin being a close second for me. Like I said, this musical is perfectly imperfect in my eyes, but it may not be for everyone. From the beginning, the show was probably for a specific group of people, but i'm happy to know that this group is growing, and more people are appreciating this show. As of season 3, I'm not sure what's next for the show, however. The premise of the show was wonderfully executed, but now that the main story arc is more or less over, the show is now at a steadier pace. But that's why I like this show so much. Rebecca isn't the only "crazy ex." Characters like Valencia or Paula can also be seen as a "crazy-ex" at times to remind you that it's never just one person. If this show were to end after season 3, I would feel satisfied, but I do hope it continues, because I want to see what the wonderful writing staff has prepared for us!
logicalgamer This show is reliably fantastic, and if you enjoy humour or music, I would highly recommend it. I can think of very little negative to say about the show. Rachel Bloom does a fantastic job, as did Santino Fontana, Vincent Rodriguez III, Gabrielle Ruiz, Donna Lynne Champlain, and much more. I'm laying off with the gushing now, but just go watch the show.
melian92 This show is bold, quirky and has genuinely enjoyable songs and jokes at times. But what makes me detached from this show and makes me unable to give it a higher rating is the awfulness of the actual characters.Rachel Bloom is a fantastic actress, extremely likable but her character is nothing short of horrid at times. She is selfish, ridiculous and even her best moments are motivated by stupid reasons. Her 'love interest' Josh, played by Vincent Fernandez III, is lacking in both charisma and acting skills and their chemistry is basically non-existent. The actor that plays Greg, Santino Fontana is the best out of the bunch by a long shot (other than Ms.Bloom). The shenanigans played by the main character and her friend are worthy of a restraining order and not in a cute sense. They're adults and it just does not transcend as likable in any sense. With better character development this show could be really special, but currently the mental plot holes and bad acting just make it less than mediocre.
