bettycjung 3/30/18. Surprisingly good, but with some reservations. If you don't like interrogations, tortures and other strong-armed methods to elicit information, and if terrorism upsets you, then this is not one to watch. Sheen is a terrorist who plants 3 nuclear bombs and Jackson and Moss are tasked to find out where these bombs can be found so they can be defused. Jackson sums up the plot succinctly, "I shake him up, you shake him down." This movie shows how different techniques are used to get someone to talk. If there is one thing this movie will do is to get you to talk about what went on in the movie, and that makes this worth seeing even though some scenes are extremely harsh and distasteful.

Karim Amin There are 3 nuclear bombs set to go off in a matter of couple of days. The mastermind has allowed himself to be captured by the federal government for reasons unknown. He's not saying where the bombs are and Carrie-anne's character wants to chat the guy up like he's a facebook pal. Samuel L wants to do whatever is necessary to get him to talk as they only have a few days before millions of people die. Obviously, Sammie will do ANYTHING and Carrie has a problem with it but Samuel has been granted power to do whatever. What follows is Carrie futile attempts to break the guy through the power of conversation with Samuel L trying to prove that torture is the way to go. In my opinion, Samuel wasn't "tough" enough. There are 50 other parts of the body he could stab, smash, cut which would have caused this guy to either a) talk immediately or b) faint which I then wake his tail back up. Good movie and worth a watch.

Richie-67-485852 Good movie because it puts a moral dilemma in your face. We are all going to die this we know. But how and why plagues us all. The twist in this movie is it is before your time, you don't deserve it and there may be nothing you can do about it. That makes this movie a thriller! Why? Because some crazy people are up to no good. In this movie, it is the whole point and then some. The actors pull it off making you belief this is not an act thus good actors. The story holds and grips the viewer. I am reminded of what Israel does to bombers that go all out in the name of what they think is right and detonate themselves in public places killing as many as they can women, children, elderly etc. Israel, who cannot stop this, lets it be known that the bombers whole family will be arrested and of course their homes torn down in advance. What happens to their families before, during and afterwards is put on the bombers shoulders if they decide to go ahead. We hope this acts as a deterrence of some sort. Keyser Sose, the bad guy in The Usual Suspects movie had a similar mentality if you crossed him. Horrible thought isn't it? The whole thing of I harm you and you harm me is so perverse which is why they call it a no win and everyone loses. This movie captures that process and concept quite nicely and of course it brings out of the viewer raw feelings when it does. Edge of your seat, at times hard to process because of the viewers own personal thoughts being projected and added to the movie/story line thus upping the tension. Very effective as a wake-up call to reality in today's world. Just keep telling yourself its a movie and it is not real...or is it? Highly recommend sunflower seeds or you will nail bite. No cell phones or bathroom breaks either. Let the movie work you! It will

furfur-1 This movie is the worst movie I have seen since long ago, and I like to watch here and then some bad movies. Unfortunately this is the bottom of stupidity. It is almost fun to watch but to know that this story is meant to be serious is really frightening.It is really hard to find something that is not totally stupid or meaningless in this movie. The screenplay is really bad, decisions are totally stupid and the talks... you will guess.So finally there is just one interpretation possibility left: "it is some kind of fictive situation". But there are still the rules of logic and this movie seems to be stronger than theses.So what is left at the end? Some mix of the Motel movies, some American pride with Hollywood flair.
