FuzzyTagz If the ambition is to provide two hours of instantly forgettable, popcorn-munching escapism, it succeeds.
ThrillMessage There are better movies of two hours length. I loved the actress'performance.
Forumrxes Yo, there's no way for me to review this film without saying, take your *insert ethnicity + "ass" here* to see this film, like now. You have to see it in order to know what you're really messing with.
Tobias Burrows It's easily one of the freshest, sharpest and most enjoyable films of this year.
Nithya Manu Just finished watching this movie. I was surprised that there were quite less reviews for this. So I thought I will add one. You fall in love with Emily from her first frame. She is sure to make you smile. Movie did turn a little predictable towards the end. But thats totally forgivable considering all the minutes before. Well played by Dean Winters and Yasmine Bleeth too. Supercute Emily steals the show in every frame. It isn't just her looks, it is her acting mainly..even her little expressions can make you smile..It is not one of those annoying movies were kids play adult. I recommend this movie to all who wants to smile watching a sweet movie.
jotix100 This delicious comedy is a good way for a family to spend some quality time together. Director Bryan Michael Stoller, working with his own material, has come out with a winning movie that will bring joy to those young at heart. Most critics of this film should realize this film is targeted for a specific audience. This sunny movie will warm one's heart. Thanks to Emily Mae Young, who plays Jenny, the precocious little star that has an uncanny sense of what to do in front of the camera. "Underground Angel" was a nice change of pace.Dean Winters and Yasmine Bleeth are seen in the main roles. Together with Miss Young they do amazing work together.
rps-2 Why oh why do we keep making such bad movies in Canada. This film is an unoriginal cookie cutter clone of countless similar stories, complete with the unbearably cute kid, disgustingly lovable dog and predictably unsuitable foster father. It's poorly done, right from the opening scene which ingenuously misleads the viewer down the wrong path. This is to film making what a knock off Rolex is to watchmaking. It would be bad enough if a Hollywood film crew made the gratuitious errors in this film. It's unforgivable for Canadians. Child welfare cases are a matter of provincial, not federal jurisdiction in Canada. They certainly are not heard in the Supreme Court of Canada. A Canadian justice (not judge) is not addressed as "your honour" but "my lord." Having James Earl Grey play a Canadian justice, one who is anything but impartial and who is wearing the wrong robes, is just too much. This is a pointless waste of time, effort, money and film stock.
imdb-491 Real Family movie that the entire family can enjoy. Sadly it this is extremely rare now a days. I was skeptical when looking at the tagline of "It was the love of a lifetime, and it took a child to see it." After watching it the tagline does not really convey the movie very well. While there is some good romance in the movie the movie itself does convey the complexity of relationships and how people who are too arrogant, selfish, greedy, prideful or etc. to recognize the truth can really wreck not just their lives but the lives of their children. This movie contains no politically warped agendas, no profanity, no nudity, no sex and no violence. Best thing that we've seen in years. Good plot, good acting, good actors, good directing, good producing and good writing.
