Afouotos Although it has its amusing moments, in eneral the plot does not convince.
Nayan Gough A great movie, one of the best of this year. There was a bit of confusion at one point in the plot, but nothing serious.
Mandeep Tyson The acting in this movie is really good.
Ginger Very good movie overall, highly recommended. Most of the negative reviews don't have any merit and are all pollitically based. Give this movie a chance at least, and it might give you a different perspective.
trashgang I always go to IMDb to have some advice if I have my doubts about a flick. This is such a kind of flick that I found on Blu Ray, new, for only 3 euro's. That price immediately says it all. This can't be a good flick. Nevertheless, sometimes you have to go on your instincts or do have to know more about the distributors. Or do read all the reviewers and see why someone loves a bad movie. This flick came out on the Asylum label and geeks do know what that means. Rip-offs of blockbusters titles. And yes, this just added one letter to make use of The Terminator (1984).Of course already being sued by a major for The Day The Earth Stopped (which The Asylum won) they go on and on by doing so. But the script itself doesn't follow the originals. And that's were so many byers found themselves being fooled. But I like The Asylum more than the SyFy productions because they use good CGI.I enjoyed this flick because there was a story to tell. Maybe there aren't any terminators throughout this flick like seen on the sleeve. The terminators (Paul Logan)here are just humans but they all look the same with the same clothes. But the use of CGI and a lot of effects did work for me. I'm used to see cheap CGI in all those years and this is mediocre. Shotguns are done CGI wise even as they hit the terminator. On part of the acting, I could dig that too. It's not that they are going to win prices but to end, I was amused. I was surprised by the little gore added and the use of red stuff. It's not one that I would recommend to the hoi polloi. This is for the lovers of bad flicks or Z-movies. It's above average even as most of the reviewers are tearing this flick down. Gore 2/5 Nudity 0/5 Effects 2/5 Story 3/5 Comedy 0/5
duckitsbrianwigg Okay, I understand that the production company of this one isn't top notch, but, come on. The first time a regular gun doesn't even scratch one of the robots, that's when every single person with any kind of sense realizes that it's pointless to attempt a stand off with the robots. Matter of fact, you might as well just dump the gun. I think people like thriller type movies to posses some common sense. That just bugged me throughout the movie. Besides that, the graphics are below average, but good enough not to distract from paying attention. The acting ranges from good to bad. Unfortunately, the majority is pretty bad. The audio is horrendous. Echoes when there shouldn't be any, distortion during some suspenseful scenes, and airy. For the visual, there are many many scenes when this movie looks bootlegged. Many shots when the camera is too close to the actors face. The camera is shaky a lot. Some backgrounds did not move synchronized with the actors, obviously because it's a green screen. The storyline isn't bad, and the movie is entertaining, though just barely. Overall, slightly below average because the production and acting wasn't convincing. It wasn't a bad movie though, just not up to par.
Theo Robertson One of these days an Asylum " mockbuster " will land them in court . They've sailed close to the wind before with the likes of TRANSMORPHERS and 2012 DOOMSDAY but watching THE TERMINATORS you really do wonder how much longer they're going to get away with it . It'd also be a pity that someone gets sued for every penny they have over abysmal straight to DVD fodder that Asylum continually churn out As you might expect THE TERMINATORS tries to fool the gullible that it might have something to do with the franchise started by James Cameron in 1984 . Certainly the plot is heavily influenced by the premise of SALVATION where a band of gallant humans try to defeat an android army that has taken over the planet . There are a couple of differences though 1 ) THE TERMINATORS has zero budget 2 ) THE TERMINATORS fails on nearly every technical level Perhaps the worst aspect is the editing where you're left feeling there's large chunks of the film missing . By this I mean you'll be continually rubbing your chin wondering why the characters arrived at such a conclusion or why they're doing such and such a thing . There's a lack of internal continuity and there's a couple of scenes where you can clearly see cars driving in the distance despite the world being under the total domination of the eponymous terminators This is the type of movie you've expected from Asylum over the last couple of years and hardly surprising that there's not many positive reviews on the page . The only thing I think that differentiates this film from other releases by the company is the amount of gore and violence which makes it even less good natured than other asylum movies
EchoMaRinE I really don't know what they were thinking while making this movie but this is clearly a classic for the worst movie ever genre. When we look at the director, we see the genius behind another classic, Transmorphers. The bad news is, this one is even worse. I mean, it is a 2009 movie, even a high school kid can make much better visual effects, the acting is horrible, directing is even worse and it looks like it was done with zero budget. There is nothing positive about it, really. They could at least try some cheap make-up for the terminators. After a gun fight, you hear a lot of bullets hitting metal (which is I assume what they call the terminator) and the guy doesn't have a single scratch on his body. Even the Fox was spending some money for the terminator series (they were crying afterward so hard but that is not the topic now). Moral of the story, I hope this director never try another sci-fi movie again but avoid this one by all means.
