Cebalord Very best movie i ever watch
Nessieldwi Very interesting film. Was caught on the premise when seeing the trailer but unsure as to what the outcome would be for the showing. As it turns out, it was a very good film.
Doomtomylo a film so unique, intoxicating and bizarre that it not only demands another viewing, but is also forgivable as a satirical comedy where the jokes eventually take the back seat.
Cheryl A clunky actioner with a handful of cool moments.
hcgreer As a horror film The St. Francisville Experiment is effective. There are well executed scares, eerie environments, surprisingly strong camera work for a found footage venture, and a paranoia inducing aura that will continue even after the film has finished. But this effectiveness is largely watered down by a handful of bad decisions. There's poor continuity of mood from scene to scene, there seem to be continuity errors in lighting and room layout, all the characters have one or two frustratingly annoying ticks, and the pace is very muddled. 35% of this film is honestly scary claustrophobic moments in a darkened haunted house, and the other 65% is off-putting, meandering dialogue that neither adds to the characters nor to the horrors. For the horror fanatic, that 35% is effective enough to warrant a viewing, for the less than fanatic, it's just not worth it.
atinder I liked the history part of story and found that interesting and the acting was decent for a found footage movie, one of the early ones. The movie is very slow burner at times but the ending was really good and surprising, There some good tension at times but not all times and there were a few to many fake scare scene added to movie, Like cat jumping out of no were and boy saying BOO! and some one scared of a fart! With all that out there way,I think it's worth watching movie 4 out of 10There are more worst movie then but there a lot more better ones as well!
Cujo108 A "Blair Witch" ripoff involving four people who go ghost hunting in a supposedly haunted Louisiana mansion. Unlike the gem it's ripping off, there is nothing frightening here unless you consider bad acting to be scary. This is truly a film where nothing happens. The only refuge from pure boredom is the occasional unintentional hilarity that pops up. For instance, we get some priceless dialogue like this choice exchange:"There's a dead bird." "How badly dead is it?"This thing is also notable for having what is probably the stupidest cat jump scare I've ever seen. I can't forget the bit towards the end where the group splits up, and the guy going into the attic keeps complaining about how scary it looks in there. The others then spend what feels like at least ten minutes trying to convince him to go in. How exciting!
poleesmom Okay, so it's 8 years after the movie was made and somehow, I've never seen it. I almost wish I hadn't heard of TAPS before seeing this because being a huge fan of that show, I found these "investigators" rather juvenile and callus, not to mention annoying. I admit that I took it for real,at first, as they made it seem like a documentary. They could have pulled it off had the inane personality's and cheesy effects not given it away. Ryan, the historian acted like she was kidnapped and forced to participate. Her constant screaming bugged me so much,I wanted to slap her 20 minutes. into it. By the way, how did her historian background relate/add to the "project"? The guys were a joke and Maddison wanted to be the big authority but mostly came off seeming like she didn't have a clue. Which effects were the cheesiest? Hard to decide between the falling chandelier, the cat in cabinet, the chains in the chimney or the bug in the sandwich. And what ever happened to not splitting up? Any how, the whole thing was so bad I just kept right on watching it to see what happened next. I do have to admit though, the end was pretty damned scary, if not implausible. It all happened in the last 10 minutes, like they figured to hell with it, let's go for the gold. I guess it's got all the makings of a cult hit.
