VeteranLight I don't have all the words right now but this film is a work of art.
UnowPriceless hyped garbage
Ezmae Chang This is a small, humorous movie in some ways, but it has a huge heart. What a nice experience.
Haven Kaycee It is encouraging that the film ends so strongly.Otherwise, it wouldn't have been a particularly memorable film
clock_me I waited so long to see the last santa clause movie because i loved the first 2 all so much after waiting 11 years i decided to sit back and enjoy since it was the holidays and very happy I did it brought back all my favorite characters well except Bernard but you really don't notice my only problem was thee animated reindeer a little bit annoying I'm happy that it spent most of it at the north pole unlike number 2 it had more humor and added a few new characters like jack frost and Alan Arkin who made this film extra special now the plot isn't anything knew and you can guess whats coming in the first 15 to 20 min but it has a great meaning when the end comes now The and Lucy made me smile every time she came on to the screen really the best part of the movie and now one ot anyone could ever have played santa like Tim AllenI recommend this to anyone who loves the santa calus you wont be dissapointed
andystyles I'm not sure why this film has got so many bad reviews. This franchise is one of my favorites and as much as I like the first two movies, I think this one is my favorite. People have to take this movie for what it is and that is a kids/ family movie. Sure it's not going to win any Oscars, but I love the story of this film and all of it's characters. Martin Short is one of my favorite actors and I think he is wonderful as Jack Frost. I also love how the movie goes back in time referencing the first movie. The scenery and back drop of the North Pole and Santa's workshop is magical and is sure to put anyone in a Christmas mood.
kim_smoak I really hate when they take a perfectly good movie and ruin it with sequels! To be honest…this was one of those movies that disappointed me that way. I LOVE the first movie in this series…but the second movie they made in this series…well, sucked! When I finished watching it, I couldn't remember the magic of the first movie…I just remembered the tragic movie I had just watched that didn't follow the storyline of the original movie at all. The third movie…was just as bad. Martin Short…oh how you have fallen from fame. I loved him Innerspace…and I loved his movies he did in the late 80's early 90's…but he just can't seem to catch a break anymore. Tim Allen…maybe you should just walk away from Christmas movies for a while and focus on movies more like Wild Hogs…that was good! The magic is gone from these movies…so if you're looking for a good Christmas movie, I would suggest watching the original, and leaving the sequels alone. For daily movie reviews visit: http://kimsmoak.com/
vip_ebriega My Take: Elaborate and energetic, but the series is quickly aging and there's not much creativity left in the franchise.Perhaps I'm being to cynical when it comes to gratuitous Hollywood sequels, but I have nothing against and needless sequel if it were still enjoyable and better made. Whilst SANTA CLAUSE 3: THE ESCAPE CLAUSE is not a bad film, not when considering what range of audience it appeals to, but considering that it's the third go-around, there's very little left to show and tell. It's occasional burst of energy aside, there's not much more to anticipate, just another endless slew of gimmicks to keep the audience attending. As in the previous SANTA CLAUSE movies, this third adventure follows another loophole in Scott Calvin's (Tim Allen) commitment as the Jolly Ol' Saint Nick. But this just an excuse to throw in Martin Short into the mix as Jack Frost, who plots to bring down the big guy just so he can get a holiday of his own. But Scott has his own dilemmas: His wife (Elizabeth Mitchell) invites her parents (Alan Arkin and Ann-Margaret) to come over, but they can't let him know he's Santa... and Christmas this year seems to be coming apart. All in a year's work I suppose. There's a fine display of talent here (Judge Reinhold is STILL getting work!), but they add up more as gimmicks to keep the audience from buying into it. The story is nothing more than filler as the producers hang whatever trick and twist they have in mind, none of which actually adds to a satisfying narrative. In fact, the real twist of the story happens near the end, the rest of the time being a set-up and seemingly endless set of slapsticks and special effects thrown at us as if we haven't seen enough. The story really just begins in its third half, but then Short starts doing his unfunny take on Liza Minelli's "New York, New York", and the movie's nearly over. Kids will probably love it, but for everyone else, save your money while you can. You know they'll keep making this as long as someone's paying for it right?Rating: **1/2 out of 5.
