Reviews

Doomtomylo a film so unique, intoxicating and bizarre that it not only demands another viewing, but is also forgivable as a satirical comedy where the jokes eventually take the back seat.
Bumpy Chip It’s not bad or unwatchable but despite the amplitude of the spectacle, the end result is underwhelming.
Jakoba True to its essence, the characters remain on the same line and manage to entertain the viewer, each highlighting their own distinctive qualities or touches.
Kinley This movie feels like it was made purely to piss off people who want good shows
Horst in Translation (filmreviews@web.de) Let me start this review by saying that I really like the "Dr. Horrible" mini-series and especially the songs in there are genius. it consists of 3 parts and runs for slightly under 45 minutes. But back to this one here. It is a 16-minute making of for that mini-series. How much you will like it will probably entirely depend on how much you like the original. There's interviews with Joss Whedon, his family members who also worked on the film, a couple writers and the three lead actors Neil Patrick Harris, Felicia Day and Nathan Fillian. Make sure though that you definitely watch the mini-series first, because there is a massive spoiler in this making of. Apart from that, there is nothing really new or outstanding about this featurette here, but it's not bad either. Only thing I don't like is how they are always so full of themselves and give us that "best team we ever worked with, all so harmonic blah blah blah" rubbish. Admittedly, that's not only the case here, but in pretty much all of these documentaries. I would be more curious in some more authentic background information. However, if you enjoyed the movie, you will probably also have a decent time watching this. Also I hope, there will finally be a "Dr. Horrible 2" at some point. I really want to see it happen.
