CommentsXp Best movie ever!
BallWubba Wow! What a bizarre film! Unfortunately the few funny moments there were were quite overshadowed by it's completely weird and random vibe throughout.
Roxie The thing I enjoyed most about the film is the fact that it doesn't shy away from being a super-sized-cliche;
bubblegumyums65 This movie is actually interesting at parts. Although some of it will bore you. The reason it is so interesting is because its weird and Bjork acts in it. I'll give it 8/10. All I have say now is that the ending will confuse you, I sure did get confused. In fact, I am very confused about right now.
msultan I find it sad that the only recognition this movie gets is Bjork'sinvolvement in it. While I do admit that she's an asset to it (shelooks peculiar and is talented), I also think that the movie hasqualities of its own.The eerie mood of the film is heightened by a lot of silence and aslow pace. Put that against a rocky landscape in black and white,and add a beautiful raw score, and you get a nice result. I wish itwere a little longer. The setting (architecture) and costumes reallytake the viewer to another time and place.I definitely recommend this movie, keeping in mind that it's not anaction movie, nor a horror movie. It's full of earth and soul.
Paul Clough (bjorksjoga) Disturbing, but beautiful. I loved what this movie portrayed. I love bjork I wish she hadn't chosen to quit acting after "Dancer In The Dark." But I respect her decisions.
Hayden28 Obviously, the major attraction of this film is the star, Bjork. But the film also has some little quirks that are hard to find in big budget movies of late. For instance, the "evil" stepmother sews the little boy's mouth shut, so that he may never speak badly about her again. The film is also very symbolic. And, if that's not enough, Bjork is in the movie!
