InformationRap This is one of the few movies I've ever seen where the whole audience broke into spontaneous, loud applause a third of the way in.
Portia Hilton Blistering performances.

Ian (Flash Review)A restaurateur from India moves his family to France. They set up shop across (100 feet to be precise) from a critically acclaimed fine dining restaurant with a 2 star Michelin rating. Can fine dining and Indian cuisine maintain friendly relations? That's the overarching plot. The sub plot is the Indian son is a cooking protégé and the fine-dining owner wants to recruit him for her mentorship. Once he experiences the top end, will he begin to miss his downhome Indian ways? The movie was nicely shot, picturesque and well-produced. Serviceable script yet the editing had some abrupt scenes directional changes; didn't blend well together. Toss in a girl/boy romance and you get the picture. The core plot is good; told in a family friendly manner.
Kathleen Kelley This movie is fantastic and brilliant and yet so much more. There are no words that I can use to justify or describe the absolute beauty of this film. It is Truly a phenomenal piece of work and it should be considered one of the greatest films of all time.Their are many great directors, producers and actors in Hollywood who have become a-list players in the movie industry and rightfully so based on previous works. They have earned their reputations and status as the greats because we the people nominated them. But as consumers we believe that whenever we see their names we are guaranteed great entertainment only to find out all too often that we are let down based on the preconceived fame that we granted to them. This is the sad part about Hollywood...At the end of the day they could not care less about us-the people who gave them their fame. Whether the production is a total flop Hollywood is a business and we are used as pawns to make sure at the very least they break even. So my point being is far too often we are consumed by grandeur and corporate advertising listing big name players only to be completely disappointed. And this being said, my review is that this small movie with no advertising and comes out of nowhere and is a true Hollywood gem. I knew nothing about it and stumbled upon it by chance and it was truly a diamond in the rough. You be the judge.Anyhow I am just a regular person and truth be told my opinion will never be heard nor will it matter to anyone. But my final words...oyu will not be disappointed
terosterone I'll keep this short - this was an enjoyable movie. I watched it on a rainy day on Sunday. The only thing that could've made it better would have been some good food to enjoy it with. The story itself is quite foreseeable after the first third of the movie - but it's the journey that matters. This movie is enjoyable for those who enjoy movies involving cooking and for those who enjoy 'feel good movies'. It's a simple recipe but hard to master. And I believe this movie did it. One thing that left me bothering during the end scene, as they zoomed out on the restaurants. Where were people supposed to park? I saw not one car, not one place to park and the town seemed to be quite far away :)
