MartinHafer Aside from some expletives which would prevent me from showing this to my mother-in-law as well as small children, this is a film I highly recommend you see. It's creative and funny...and especially funny.The film appears to be set at around the beginning of the 19th century in Britain. A man and his servant arrive in a pastoral setting for a duel and they are waiting for the other man. Soon, someone arrives--but it's NOT the guy they intend. Instead, it's another man coming to have a duel with someone else. And, soon another and another and another arrives! Apparently this is an extremely popular place for duels! I could say more about the film, but frankly it would spoil it. Suffice to say that it is wildly creative, has nice acting and costumes and has a wonderful punchline at the end. Well worth seeing and darned clever. I hope to see more from these folks!

bob the moo A nobleman and his valet arrive in the green alongside Blood Creek – a place of dueling and honor for many generations. They await justice against someone who wronged him and soon a man approaches. Unfortunately the man who approaches is someone who has also challenged another to a duel and has scheduled for the same place and the same time, leading to a little confusion.There are some things I will probably always find funny and one of them is the impression of pompous Englishmen from bygone days saying "good day sir, I said GOOD DAY" done by John Oliver and other such comedians and it is for this type of humor where I really enjoyed Duel at Blood Creek. The film is very much built on the absurdity of the characters and their pomposity in combination with the ridiculousness of the situation and it works very well. Of course the script is a big part of this as it comically builds across the short, but the performances are also a big part of this.Everyone buys into the "Good Day Sir!" delivery and it is consistently amusing while building some genuinely funny moments. The direction and the look of the film is very professional – it never feels like a TV sketch (which it could easily have done) but retains the looks and feel of a period drama even as it becomes sillier. I found it to be a very funny short film and enjoyed it a great deal.

skivingsnackboxes A friend of mine sent me the link for this film on Facebook, saying I needed to watch it immediately because I would love it. She was absolutely right! This is film is delightfully funny. It's the first "period" short I've ever seen were I was actually impressed with the production value. The casting is fantastic and the acting is spot on with witty dialogue and perfect timing. The costumes and scenery are beautiful, as is the cinematography. It is a very well crafted short with a simply hilarious ending, especially for those of us that can relate first hand. Highly recommended!

troywhigham If you enjoyed the Monty Python films of the 70's ("Quest For The Holy Grail" comes to mind) then you'll enjoy this tale of a British nobleman and his squire who arrive at Blood Creek to settle a dispute with another nobleman over a gambling debt. As the nobleman awaits his opponent, another man arrives to also settle a matter of honor with another man. The two begin to squabble over who has the right to duel at the location, and when their opponents show up, things get funnier from there.You never see the ending coming, and history buffs will certainly get a chuckle out of it.Well worth the twenty minutes the film lasts, and worthy of several repeat viewings.
