ThiefHott Too much of everything
Actuakers One of my all time favorites.
PiraBit if their story seems completely bonkers, almost like a feverish work of fiction, you ain't heard nothing yet.
Tayloriona Although I seem to have had higher expectations than I thought, the movie is super entertaining.
kevin-w-clark-484-207691 The story has great potential deriving story aspects from certain different genres including ancient history of both japan and Babylonian sources, mixed with Gothic themes. However the background is the only thing note worthy about this movie. Within the first scene it is obvious that at least a large part of the crew are amateurs. From sound to acting to lighting. The opening sequence is clearly done on a sound stage that sounds like a sound stage along with no lighting effects that give no effect on the actors emotions or environment. Most of the acting in those scenes are also difficult to watch. There are some camera effects that also are beyond cheesy. It is better to watch this movie not expecting a Hollywood production. The character Oda probably would be far more appropriate if the actor was Asian. Maybe Im wrong about this but he seems to take the image of a samurai but is given a common sword instead.
BigBro ChuckC If you want to see a good movie, watch the Sword and the Sorcerer not this mistake. If I read you the script for this movie, I could not spoil the movie more than is already is. The photographic cinematography was as horrible as Beverly Hills Cop 3; however BHC3 had a score that they used throughout the movie. The movie score at the beginning of the movie was reminiscent of Conan or other slayer movies, but it was hardly used in the movie. The grade school stage backdrop sets were as laughable as the CGI. The story would have been OK if it would have had Talon and his mighty mercenaries save the queendom; however Talon does not appear in this movie. The Stranger, Lee Horsley, was a nice scene, if only he was used throughout the movie. You just have to wonder if Lee Horsley, Kevin Sorbo, and Ralf Moeller lost a bet. If you still want to see this movie, don't spend the money like I did just check out my local library to watch it for free.
mjl529 I agree with jewel5's review, I had not seen Lee Horsley in anything since he did the series "Paradise", He was a very popular actor in the 1980's. He had the starring role in " Sword and the Sorcerer", and I thought this was a sequel to his character "Talon". I was totally wrong about that, he had a very small cameo role and was listed as "The Stranger"?? This movie was a mess from the beginning, and Michael Pare's acting was terrible, he sounds like he is reading "Q" cards. I guess Lee Horsley's acting career is limited to "cameo" roles of less than "B" movies now, this is a shame that a gifted actor such as Horsley is reduced to this because of his age(mid 50's I believe). I rated this a 1 out of 10, but it should be a 0 out of ten!!
ows-170-156497 I hope it has been made as a joke. Its shear awfulness makes it good for a few laughs, but I do wonder how Ralf Möller, that icon of manly muscle came to accept a role? I expect that he has lent his name to it for a few measly $, without reading the manuscript. The story in itself is not much worse than many other Hollywood plots (which does not say much), but the filming, the acting, the not-so-special-effects, the fighting, in short, everything else make this the worst movie I have ever seen. I am struggling to find enough to say here for having this review accepted, but as a service to the rest of you who as me might be tempted by 'Ralf Möller' and 'sequel to the Sword and the Sorcerer' I persevere. Just avoid it. Go to the dentist in stead.
