Karry Best movie of this year hands down!
GetPapa Far from Perfect, Far from Terrible
Gary The movie's not perfect, but it sticks the landing of its message. It was engaging - thrilling at times - and I personally thought it was a great time.
Kinley This movie feels like it was made purely to piss off people who want good shows
Paul Magne Haakonsen Having been watching the "Sniper" movies since the very first movie, which I had on VHS. Then I have been more and more disappointed as the franchise progressed. This 2017 addition to the franchise was actually the better of the last couple of "Sniper" movies.Sure the plot was predictable, but the acting was good and the action was good. So that made it up for the movie having a very generic and straight forward plot. The sniping sequences were especially good, which did add a lot of flavor to the movie. The special effects in "Sniper: Ultimate Kill" were quite good, and I had not expect to see this kind of graphic violence in a movie such as this.I was genuinely surprised and entertained with this movie. It was quite interesting to have both Billy Zane and Tom Berenger return to reprise the two characters whom started the franchise, despite they did nothing more than just stand around and talk. Would have been a nice treat to have them return to the field as snipers.
adonis98-743-186503 Colombian drug kingpin Jesús Morales secretly pays for the services of a sniper nicknamed "The Devil," capable of killing one-by-one the enemies of anyone who hires him. With no adversaries left alive, Morales grows stronger and gains control of more smuggling routes into the United States. The DEA, alarmed by this threat to the country, sends agent Kate Estrada, who has been following Morales for years, and Marine sniper Brandon Beckett to Colombia. Their mission: Kill "The Devil" and bring Morales back to the US to be tried for his crimes. Sniper: Ultimate Kill is the 7th installment of the Sniper Series and i gotta say it's suprising good with a deep and sometimes dramatic elements, some good perfomances from the cast and good overall action and even tho it does drag in certain elements and there's some over the top kills it's better than Sniper: Ghost Shooter.
KATO-SUBZERO 19 November 2017: This is Not a bad movie, but Not as good as Mark Wahlberg's "Shooter" 2007. Once again another negative stereotype of Colombia. The world knows that Colombia was once known only for drugs and kidnappings in the 70's and 80' decades. However, there are a lot of good and positive things in Colombia, which American made films about Colombia are Never shown. Americans and other countries never hear or see the positive side of beautiful Colombia, which I have visited as well as Panama.Colombia has some of the most talented singing groups such as Jairo Varela's Grupo Niche, Shakira, Juanes, Carlos Vives and beautiful singers, Fanny Lu and Carolina La O or actors such as Manolo Cardona, Jorge Abello and the most famous Colombian American actor, John Leguizamos or actresses, beautiful Ana Lucia Dominguez, Danna Garcia, Zulay Henao, Paola Rey,Catherine Siachoque and the most famous Colombian American actress, Sofia Vegara. This is just as bad as it was for many years in 70's and 80's in American cinema, almost all films with African Americans were negative stereotypes of on welfare, deadbeat dads, drug dealers, pimps, gang members, single mothers with five or more kids or Mexican theme films with the same negative stereotype or all Asian films only showing Karate or Gung Fu. It would be nice to see some positive films about Colombia for a change.Acting is okay from the entire cast, but the stand out performance is Cuban Latina actress, Danay Garcia as a cute, but tough agent who does not take any crap. Danay holds her own in a room full of men or when she is being harassed in a bar or on the streets. This is a nice refreshing look from the usual whiny women victim roles that most actresses play.I wonder why the entire cast of actors/actresses names are Not listed in the IMDb credits. Only the few main roles are listed. For example, pretty Colombian Latina actress, Diana Patricia Hoyos or actor, Jaime Correa who plays priest father, Carlos are missing in the IMDb credits. The plot have been done hundreds of times in flicks such as this one. I knew long before the half way point, there was going to be a snitch or double agent and I figured out that it would be actor Joe Lando in the role of John Sampson. Overall this flick is good for Red Box or cable, but not for theatrical release. The film, "Shooter" is a 10. This is about a 7 max.
Gino Cox "Sniper: Ultimate Kill" is a competent potboiler action/thriller DTV production, offering a pleasant diversion. The acting is more than adequate to the task, with some familiar faces and capable Hispanic performers. Cinematography is capable, with a refreshing lack of distracting jiggly-cam shots. Bogotá and Miami locations are realistic. Costumes, weapons and vehicles are true to form. It lacks the trappings of big-budget action films. There are no big car chases, shootouts, or fight scenes. No parkour stunts. The moral is fairly simplistic concerning guilt and responsibility. It doesn't try to be cerebral and doesn't make profound political statements. There are shootouts, chases, car crashes and fights, but they are relatively low-key. It sets the bar about mid-level and easily clears it.
