Console best movie i've ever seen.
ThedevilChoose When a movie has you begging for it to end not even half way through it's pure crap. We've all seen this movie and this characters millions of times, nothing new in it. Don't waste your time.
AnhartLinkin This story has more twists and turns than a second-rate soap opera.

FilmCriticLalitRao For a film director who made his début film in 1968, an important year in the recent history of France, Gérard Pirès has covered a lot of ground before embarking on the direction of a film which would bolster the image of France as a nation which is always at the forefront of technology. 'Les Chevaliers du Ciel' is the film in question which gave a major boost to both France as a nation of high tech inventions as well as a country which produces films which can easily compete with big brother Hollywood's films. Based on a work by famous comic book writer Albert Uderzo, 'Sky Fighters' has its own comic book moments when two tough air force pilots are shown bantering with other colleagues during a party. They also happen to share some cool chemistry with daredevil women pilots who don't mind learning some flight techniques from them. These are some moments of comic relief in an action film which strikes a fine balance between its dramatic scenes and fights in the skies. For this 11th feature film, director Gérard Pirès has made good use of France's reputation as world's important creator of fighter planes as the action starts during an air show and end during 14th July parade in Paris. A lot of valuable ground is covered between these two events which involves the intervention of French Air Force to protect its interests. As director Gérard Pirès has created a mature film about pilots and their incessant combats in the sky, it is quite likely that comparisons would be made with its American counterpart 'Top Gun'. However, audiences need to be reminded that both films are different as they deal with different stories filmed at different times and places.
Simon Rancourt The only casting error on this movie was casting Alice Taglioni as Capitaine Estelle 'Pitbull' Kass. She's a French actress supposedly playing an American pilot, she speaks French with a French accent ! Ridiculous! On the other hand, Rey Reyes as Capitaine Leslie 'Stardust' Hedget is far more believable : she speaks French with an American accent, like an American who learned French at school. Also, one big mistake I found in the movie : when two pilots are walking on the tarmac toward their aircrafts, one of them asks what is the mission. Don't they have briefings ? I thought fighter pilots knew exactly what their mission is before setting foot on the tarmac. Otherwise I totally loved that movie. I've seen it twice in theaters, and bought the DVD.Simon "Tuvok" Rancourt; 101th Virtual Fighter Squadron; Québec Air Force
jimmy-161 Forget abut Citizen Kane, this is the greatest movie ever made. Forget also the lame and almost incomprehensible plot, but revel in the insane flying sequences (mostly featuring the Mirage 2000) and the french hotties in high heels.I could probably watch this movie every day of my life. Is it as good as "Top Gun"? For balls-out flying it probably is better, although Top Gun is ahead in stitching together a narrative in the flying sequences. However SF completely trumps TG in the babe stakes. No actual nudity, but plenty of scantily dressed women. My GF didn't like it much, it's not a date movie.Trivia: early in the movie, one of the pilots does a barrel roll over the other, in what I imagine is a tribute to Chuck Yeager doing the same manoeuver in the John Wayne vehicle "Jet Pilot".
WhatHappend This was one of the worst movies I have seen it a long time. The flight scenes are cool but the dialog and plot are terrible. The ending sucks as well. I can only hope it must have been better in french otherwise the other reviewers here are clueless. Top Gun was 1000x better then this cheesy movie. The DVD "Sky Fighters" even defaults to English DD2.0. It should default to the DD6.0 sound track. This is the first DVD I have seen that defaults to a stereo sound track when the multi-speaker sound track is available. You would have to be a big fan of military aircraft to forgive the films short comings. The sound effects of the film was good though.
