ThiefHott Too much of everything
Kaydan Christian A terrific literary drama and character piece that shows how the process of creating art can be seen differently by those doing it and those looking at it from the outside.
Juana what a terribly boring film. I'm sorry but this is absolutely not deserving of best picture and will be forgotten quickly. Entertaining and engaging cinema? No. Nothing performances with flat faces and mistaking silence for subtlety.
Ginger Very good movie overall, highly recommended. Most of the negative reviews don't have any merit and are all pollitically based. Give this movie a chance at least, and it might give you a different perspective.
iclp93 This movie basically recorded by Israel AKA "Is Real Terrorist" to abase and insult nowadays's, you know which, nation Palestine. What they aim here is simply to show their killings nowadays innocent and to base it on a historical saga of their own. Each time "Palestine" name heard, there's agonize, cruelty and inhumanity act played by "Supposedly Palestinian", However in real life, both Jewish actors or their sympathizers . Simply Israel is trying to subliminally impact people to empathy with them while they kill innocent Palestinians in real life in front of the world eyes in 2018!
mattastic-mitchell Acting is good. Fight choreography is pretty good. The story and writing is good. The problem is the pacing and effects, oh and beards.
mmevanille-53097 Its cheesy, acting is stunted, CGI noticeable, script and directing is cliche. But somehow it kind of works in a ( as another reviewer put it ) Xena / Conan kind of way. The story flows well, but some parts are laughably bad. I almost wonder what would it have been like if they purposely presented it in an over-the-top way, it may have ended up being a cult hit, like Hercules Returns. But its likely copies of the film will sit on Christian's video shelves for years to come, but probably wont be seen anywhere else not long after its release.
Michael Ledo Samson is the Hebrew retelling of the story of the sun god Shamash. Sun gods are quick to temper, lustful, and judges. They have long hair which symbolizes the rays of the sun and their great strength. They lose their strength in winter when their rays no longer shine and the sun goes blind. The story left a lot to be desired starting with the acting and dialogue. The Philistines where shown to be far more evil than archeology would have us believe. The Samson character lacked the passion associated with the Biblical character and was rather serene by comparison. The script added details to the biblical tale in order to make a cohesive tale, yet failed in a very important aspect to stick to the story. The Bible does not state that Delilah cut off Samson's hair as the movie erroneously shows, but rather she instructed a man to shave off his seven locks (Judges 16:19). Didn't anyone on the set every read a bible? Billy Zane plays a boring bad guy who gives us the British pronunciation of "privacy."
