Reviews

Perry Kate Very very predictable, including the post credit scene !!!
Stevecorp Don't listen to the negative reviews
Hayden Kane There is, somehow, an interesting story here, as well as some good acting. There are also some good scenes
Arianna Moses Let me be very fair here, this is not the best movie in my opinion. But, this movie is fun, it has purpose and is very enjoyable to watch.
vchimpanzee The movie starts with two vehicles going off a cliff and blowing up.Then we see a beautiful stone building--probably a chapel--on a college campus. Then a lot of beautiful buildings, some stone, others classic architecture of a different sort, some modern and no big deal.Bo is the quarterback and Sonia wants to break up because he was tempted by Carrie. I'm not sure what Bo and Carrie did. But whatever it was, Sonia is through with Bo. But Bo won't give her up. He grabs her, and Jim comes to her rescue. Bo sounds like he will keep on trying. Now Sonia needs a ride home. As it happens, Jim is a limo driver.Sonia and Jim are in the same astronomy class. Jim has had a rough life, and he has had life experience, including time spent in Antarctica, while Sonia is rich and used to getting what she wants. On the freeway, Jim is in the wrong lane when the time comes to exit. He moves quickly into the right lane and doesn't see the black Dodge Ram pickup. The pickup has to stop so quickly to avoid a wreck that it spins completely around. And then the chase begins. The driver of the Ram, hidden behind dark glass, wants revenge! The stunt drivers are amazing! Especially when one or both cars go the wrong way. Finally, a police car gets involved, but it ends up like the Hazzard County cop cars. Several cars wreck and there's even an explosion. In fact, this movie includes about half a dozen jumps in the tradition of Bo and Luke Duke, some of them really good. Two involve a hay truck, so watch for that.Once the Dodge Ram is no longer in sight, Jim is able to turn into a police station, but he's the one the cops are after. Jim and Sonia can't provide enough information to catch the driver of the Dodge Ram and prove they're not at fault for the chaos, so it's a wonder they get to leave. It's dark and the limo needs gas. No sign of the Dodge Ram. Until ...The chase resumes and ends up on a curvy mountain road. There are quiet moments where the characters learn about each other, but these usually don't last too long. There is at least one new vehicle in the chase toward the end. Several people die. Whoever's in that truck seems to have no morals. By the way, we will learn who it is.I was going to say one of the highlights was a scene at a farm which is followed by one with a bus. Actually, once the bus enters the picture, it's edge-of-your-seat excitement straight to the end. And what an ending! This movie is best if you just enjoy the chases. The quality of the dialogue varies. There is some comedy, and this is usually better than the rest of the dialogue. Sonia doesn't often show as much emotion as one might expect in this situation, although at times she is scared, at times terrified, and sometimes he is enjoying all of this as if she was Thelma and Jim was Louise. And Jim also seems to be enjoying himself about half the time, even though the other driver seems to want to kill him and Sonya. But don't be misled; they are mostly frightened. In many cases, I fully expect that critics and IMDb members just say bad writing and even bad acting.Larry has some of the funniest lines. He's just a poor kid that didn't intend to get caught up in all this mess. It's actually worth seeing if all you care about is action.
kms-6 Pathetic doesn't begin to describe this drivel. There is nothing plausible nor believable in this crap. If I were one of the 'actors' (hah!) in this bomb, I'd change my name AND commit suicide. Here are a few reasons to poke your eyes out, instead of watching this P.O.S.:1) You'll see vehicles engulfed in flames still driving perfectly. 2) You'll see vehicles involved in crashes that magically aren't damaged in the next scene. 3) You'll see flying trucks still manage to drive perfectly after smashing to the ground (don't you wish yours could... AFTER ONLY HITTING A POTHOLE!!!) 4) You'll hear some of the most moronic dialogue ever to be recorded. They should have kept their mouths shut. Now these poor idiots couldn't even get a job doing voice-overs.If you see this poorest-excuse-for-a-movie in your TV listings, and have nothing else to watch, consider watching the water going down the bowl in your toilet. Trust me, you'll enjoy it more.
johnscook While the plot of the movie is somewhat ridiculous, there is nothing in this movie to make me believe that any of it could ever happen in the way it is portrayed. The acting is bad, the dialog is bad, and the scenes are not believable. This movie is supposed to be a suspenseful thriller, but there is nothing suspenseful or thrilling about it. I don't sense that the two main characters are ever really in danger or that they seem scared. The characters show as much fear as a 14-year-old on a roller coaster at Six Flags. You can just listen to the movie without watching it and have not missed a single thing. Slow motion on action sequences is a giant red flag for poor film-making. The Dukes of Hazzard was a more entertaining work of art. At least they had T&A, which is something a film like this normally flaunts but is totally absent. No suspense, no thrills, not even cheap ones.
lorelei3 I hope that this review stop even just one person from seeing this movie! Here's just a short list of the worst parts of this movie:The dialogue was atrocious! Casper's hair color was so not natural! The movie seemed like 10 hrs long instead of less than 2! Did this Monster truck have 9 lives or what?? Why doesn't Casper have to go to work like he was supposed to? Shouldn't a limo driver have his phone charged at all times?I'm giving this one a *2* and only because of the ability for the vehicles to stand up to this much abuse.
