adonis98-743-186503 Copper Jack Stone purposefully orchestrates a bank robbery in order to be thrown into prison with the notorious Russian kingpin Balam. Balam is more than just a mob criminal; he's a very cunning and dangerous lord who controls the police force from behind bars. I was expecting Riot to be some kind of 'Escape Plan' but it managed to be even worse than 'Escape Plan 2: Hades'. It's a total borefest of a film, the acting isn't impressive and Lundgren is totally wasted plus studios need to stop with this fake advertisement their doing cause it's awful!!

Michael Ledo Policeman Jack Stone (Matthew Reese) purposely gets himself thrown into prison following a bank robbery and killing a police officer. He doesn't have good odds, but he is Jack Stone, movie cop with choreographed moves. His goal is to take down Russian mafia boss Balam (Chuck Liddell) who deals drugs from his private quarters inside the prison surrounded by crooked guards. He also runs a protection racket.Jack befriends mop man William (Dolph Lundgren) and there is also an attached woman's prison where Alena (Danielle Chuchran) causes trouble. Not too hard to figure out.The plot was highly improbable as was the prison. There were no real twists as the writing exhibited little imagination and dialogue. What the movie features is plenty of prison fighting. How many times can Jack get hit with a club and not go down?Guide: No sex or nudity. No swearing. Serious no swearing in a prison film. Filmed in Utah.Danielle Chuchran aka "Thing One" wanted the role of Katniss. She ended up playing Kate Mitra in "Survivor" and assumed the Katniss pose on several occasions. She has become the leading lady in Utah films.

sydneyswesternsuburbs Director John Lyde has created a gem in Riot.Starring the legendary Dolph Lundgren who has been in other classic flicks, Rocky IV 1985, The Punisher 1989, Dark Angel 1990, Showdown in Little Tokyo 1991, Universal Soldier 1992, Joshua Tree 1993, The Peacekeeper 1997, The Defender 2004, The Machanik 2005, Direct Contact 2009, Command Performance 2009, Universal Soldier: Regeneration 2009, Icarus 2010, The Expendables 2010, One in the Chamber 2012, Expendables 2 2012, Universal Soldier: Day of Reckoning 2012, A Certain Justice 2014, Skin Trade 2014 and The Package 2013.Also starring Matthew Reese.I enjoyed the violence.If you enjoyed this as much as I did then check out other classic prison flicks, Brawl in Cell Block 99 2017.

An act of retribution puts him inside, where he has an ideal chance to strike back at responsible crime lord Balam (Chuck Liddell.) But an introduction to seemingly harmless janitor William (Dolph Lundgren) leads him to become part of something much bigger.If Dolph Lundgren has sway nowhere else, he at least has it in the world of the DVD action film, and so his appearance on the front cover of this latest prison based entry might attract some fans of this type of fare (i.e. me!) But it's nothing but a con, when he actually occupies such minimal screen time, saving face from being part of this cheap looking, low grade, poorly shot, unexciting bore fest.The main hero of the piece is Matthew Reese, a man who might have had a career in action films thirty years ago, but in these days of CGI, can only make do in tat like this. Liddell has presence as the villain, but the lacklustre script leaves him without any menace at all. As for Dolph, his role has some deeper significance, as a relic of time gone by, his character ambling about much like himself, remembering the days when you could make a career out of films like this.Definitely not a Riot, or even a commotion. It struggles to even be a mini scuffle. *
