Synopsis

When four college students trek to the Everglades to conduct extra-credit research for their biology professor, they become prey to a huge man-eating eel with nasty incisors that’s been terrorizing a nearby Florida community, based on a true story concerning an exotic species of eels that are released in the southeast from Asia. They breathe air and can survive on land.

MonsterVision99 I wanted to watch "Razorteeth" by the Polonia brothers, since I watched "Bigfoot vs Zombies" earlier and decided to watch another one of their movies, I couldn't find it online but I found this similar film (both in concept and in name) and it looked interesting so I decided to see it. "Razortooth" its not very good at all. By SOV monster movie standards its about as average as you could get in the genre, a giant monster its on the loose and kills people, that's about it, I wasn't expecting anything more. It has a few decent kills and the effects are terrible yet somewhat enjoyable for the kind of movie it is. I was actually kinda of surprised at the amount of gore and deaths in the movie, these movies are often disappointing in that aspect but "Razortooth" delivers the goods. It tries to be comedic but falls flat (again, same thing happens in a lot of these movies), the characters are a bit likable, the editing its awful, its terribly written and directed but it could have been worse, it could have been a Polonia movie.
henri sauvage But I'll try, anyway, to save the unsuspecting from wasting 90 minutes of their life on this fetid tripe. So what makes this different from any other of the last few years' crop of straight-to-DVD Creature Features? Is it the moronic dialog and crappy CGI? The trite stereotypes played by no-name "actors" incapable of evoking love or hate -- much less even a flicker of interest? The clichés running out its metaphorical ears and comedy as flat as month-old roadkill? ("Hey, look at the really fat, gross redneck get pulled down through his own outhouse!") The farting dog? The towering hackery? I don't know. I don't want to know. I only want this sf sub-genre to finally die a well-deserved and long-overdue death. It doesn't matter that once in a blue moon you get something like "Deep Rising", with real wit and style to match its copious gore; it just encourages the clowns who create this cinematic sludge to squeeze out more of their "entertainment product".
Argemaluco I have a special appreciation for the "monster movies" which were made between the 50's and the 70's.On that moment, this kind of films were made with little resources, medium talent and a lot of ambition. But,those movies were only exhibited on down at heel cinemas. However,I can say that sub-genus had its "boom" on that period.Nowadays, that sub-genus is having a resurrection on TV and straight-to-DVD movies.Although there has been a big number of craps recently from this sub-genus,I have to admit I have enjoyed some ones, like Razortooth.I cannot deny this movie will be considered as unacceptable for a lot of film experts, but I personally found it to be entertaining and it did not disappoint me because I received exactly what I expected : a mutant monster, blood and some touches of humor.Besides,I appreciated to see that this movie did not forget about its story, something many films from this sub-genus do.The screenplay from this film may not be great, but it is dynamic, well structured and it has appropriate touches of humor. And I also appreciated the fact that this movie does not take too seriously to itself. On the negative side,we can find various elements, specially the amateur special effects and performances, but the good elements from this movie compensate to a certain point some fails.I can give a recommendation to Razortooth because, although it is not great or memorable at all,it made me have a good time, something that a lot of Academy-Award nominated or worldwide acclaimed films have not achieved.
Asulgard I know we should do constructive comments here but this movie has nothing constructive in it.. It should come with a warning "If you watch it from start to the end, your eyes will start bleeding".Most of the acting was bad, it was really boring, filled with lots of clichés, the creature was poorly made and the ending was obvious.. Now I know it was a low budget movie but I've seen many low budget movies and they were like masterpieces compared to this one. I'm not a hater, I appreciate the effort that film maker has put into this movie but I feel responsible for the people who has no idea they are going to be watching. This movie is bad, very bad in my honest opinion.I rated it 1, if you wanna waste your time and do something you'll regret, then watch this movie.
