MusicChat It's complicated... I really like the directing, acting and writing but, there are issues with the way it's shot that I just can't deny. As much as I love the storytelling and the fantastic performance but, there are also certain scenes that didn't need to exist.

discord43 Actually, it should be 0 our of 10. The script is abominable, the costumes are ludicrous and the acting is abysmal, and that's being kind to all three. This is not the worst film I've seen, but it's very very close. Do not waste your time. I have to add another line before I can post so, This is a horrible film. It has no redeeming qualities at all.

marvy42 If this film had only used different character names, I would have rated it higher, because it would have been a dumb, laughable Science Fiction flick, possibly even enjoyable at some "it's raining and there's nothing else to do" level. You get the feeling that the writer had read the first John Carter book a long, long time in the past and remembered the characters' names without remembering what the story was about, or even what a thark was supposed to look like (I'm sure that Burroughs' warrior tharks didn't have tusks that wobbled). This plot was silly; Burroughs' was engrossing. The biggest disappointment was Traci Lords. While it was her body that was ravaged in many films, here, it was her face that looked ravaged - she just looked so OLD. (Fortunately, I never expected her to know how to act, so I wasn't disappointed there.) The big sword fight seemed to be performed by two actors who'd never held a sword in their lives; all the intercutting didn't cancel that out (why couldn't they have used stunt men?). A truly bad film.

The continuity was appalling the story was terrible and the acting except Traci Lords (graduate of the Lee Strasberg studio) was cringe making. Traci Lords is an interesting case study. She is an example of a determined and complex woman with a very controversial background. Born and raised in Ohio as Nora Louise Kuzma, she moved with her divorced mother and three sisters to Los Angeles at age 12. She ran away from home and began nude modeling at age 15, then adult films a year later.An incredibly developed, full-figured girl, she easily duped photographers, producers and directors (with the help of a false birth certificate and driver's license). Her stage name is a combination of Traci, from a former school friend, and Lords, in honor of her favorite male actor, Jack Lord ("Hawaii Five-O" (1968)). She later owned a white Persian cat named Mr. Steve McGarrett, the name of the character Lord played on the show. Traci made somewhere between 80 and 100 X-rated movies (some consisted mostly of leftover footage from previous shoots) between 1984 and 1986.In May 1986 she was arrested by FBI agents when it was discovered she was underage, which meant that any films with her in them were illegal to rent or buy, and video stores around the country rushed to remove them. The only legal porn movie Traci made was Traci, I Love You (1987) (V), which was filmed in Paris, France, on her 18th birthday. Since she controlled distribution rights, many people believed she orchestrated the revelation herself so she could be the only one to profit from her X-rated career. She even guest-starred in a number of TV shows ranging from "Married with Children" (1987), "Roseanne" (1988), "MacGyver" (1985) and "Nash Bridges" (1996).She has always despised being referred to as "an ex-porn star", and resents the fact that a celebrity like Tim Allen can be forgiven by Hollywood for past transgressions (he was convicted and served prison time selling drugs while he was in college) but she still to this day bears the stigma of her porn years. It's probably the fantasy of the underage girl who fooled an entire industry, and, at the height of her career, was unquestionably the most popular actress with fans and filmmakers alike.Some of her most notable TV work was as a regular on season 2 of "Profiler" (1996) from 1997 to 1998 in playing the schizo-sicko serial killer Sharon Lesher, as well as the tough heroine Jordan Radcliffe during the last season of the sci-fi series "First Wave" (1998) from 2000 to 2001. vincentga Watching this film one is certain that everything is possible. Indeed if we must admit that the impossible is beyond this movie. How is it possible to find money for something so bad? It is a true miracle and we must admit that everything is possible. Unless the very bad "actor Antonio Sabato Jr. as father a mobster. Or an uncle in the Mafia wishing to launder money. This "film" is a complete idiocy. Bad script. Bad history. Bad music. Bad special effects. Bad costumes. Bad decor. Bad actors / actresses. Etc.. Too bad we could not see the breasts of "Traci Lords" or his ass or sex. It would have been interesting to know if his advanced age, she shaved her sex. It should be like Antonio Sabato Jr. has everything to be porn actor .... Traci Lords should never have let go the only thing she is able to do: porn. Open his mouth to make pipes is one thing, open to interpret something interesting is another. If you want to see Traci Lords, it is better to see in the "movies" as follows: The Sex Godness Kinky Business Lust In The Fast Lane Bad Girls III Sex Shoot Etc..
