Synopsis

The intersection of business and pleasure causes an emotional traffic jam in this erotic drama. Samantha and Steve are a pair of private eyes who are also a couple after hours. The two are hired to set up a surveillance operation in a high-class bordello, and it isn't long before both are tempted by the voluptuous pleasures which surround them. Will their relationship survive? And if not, who will pair off with who?

Claysaba Excellent, Without a doubt!!
Afouotos Although it has its amusing moments, in eneral the plot does not convince.
BigHardcoreRed Maybe a bit harsh, but I have my reasons. To be honest, there is just as much good (as good as straight to video movies get) as bad in this one. I should learn not to judge a movie by the box cover, due to being burned a few times recently by cool looking box covers and absolute crap in the movie. I wouldn't call this movie absolute crap, but it's nothing more than your average B-Movie. Except this B-Movie stars actual porn stars, trying to break through to the other side I presume. Let me explain my problem with this movie starting with the box cover. On the front is a woman dressed very similar to Tomb Raider's Lara Croft. The revealing clothes with black gloves, gun in holster and two grenades around her neck. Nowhere in the movie do they use, need or show a grenade or a gun. I was expecting a low budget Tomb Raider action style movie and instead I got an average low budget movie set in a brothel with zero action.Nothing what I expected which I believe to be the purpose of the box cover.Ranting a little, so I'll go onto my next problem, which is actually the bigger of the two. Dru Berrymore (cleverly disguised as Nicole Hilbig) is not a good actress. She's not even a bad actress. She's not an actress, but a performer in a very different type of movie. The delivery of her lines was not up to par and I don't know if it was a thick accent or what but she annoyed me every time she spoke. In my opinion, she made the movie worse and should have been recast.Chloe, however, billed as Chloe Nichole, did make a somewhat believable brothel madame. Could it be that is because she, too, is "acting" in a very similar way to her other movies? She did have the best scenes in the movie, but quite honestly, that was still not a great performance by any means. Overall, the movie was pretty straightforward, not many plot twists or turns. Everything pretty much goes as expected. I wasn't pulling my hair out waiting for the movie to end, but it was pretty much in the middle of the road. 5 out of 10.
BlackJack_B My goodness, someone in the production of this film must have been an NYPD Blue fan, because Nicole Hilbig sounds and looks like Gail O'Grady. Brooklyn indeed, but more like Brooklyn Joe Beckham in comparing her accent to the Beckham's decision to name their prodigy son after the borough of New York. B A D: BAD!This time though, the bad acting really hurts this movie. It makes Eve's Beach Party looks good. The film, about a madam who's in big trouble with the police because of her brothel, is forced to have two detectives (who are lovers, one of them is Brooklyn) to spy in her operations.Even though again I applaud that the main women in this film are all-natural, the brutal acting just hurts. The set-ups to the philosophical discussions are non-existent and the film is just one big bore. Chloe reminded me of Nicole Gian because they both look like better versions of Julia Roberts, but that's about it. The story is a retread, too. And of course, Miss Hilbig is very nice, but the accent is awful. I guess Jennifer Jason Leigh is off the hook when it comes to annoying accents now.
Smooth B There's not much anyone can say about this flick....the plot is quite simple: Two police officers (who also happen to be lovers) are using a brothel as a stakeout in order to catch a criminal, with the help of the "lady of the house", played by hardcore pornstar Chloe. As anyone can guess, there's a few plot twists and some blurred alliances, but the writing was just horrible, even for a softcore movie.I've read some previous posts about Nicole Hilbig's accent (she plays the female cop). Yes, it's hard to understand what she's saying at times, but I think I've placed it. I did some sniffing around....I think she's from Germany, hence her odd-sounding accent. She makes an impression even without speaking, however...she's got a great looking body. There were a couple of "from behind" sex scenes in this movie that were quite graphic for a softcore film....excellent work there. The three-way scene toward the end wasn't bad either.*SPOILER ALERT* I kinda knew the female cop was gonna turn into a part-time call girl at the end. She enjoyed her three-way WAY too much.*END SPOILER*I'm not gonna nitpick about the story TOO much, seeing as this is a low-budget, direct-to-video softcore flick. However, it just seems like I've seen way too many movies in this genre with a similar type of storyline. Women: B (Chloe and Hilbig were okay as the eye-candy) Sex: B+ (scenes were kinda short, but good) Story: C (a recycled plot, but whatever works, eh?) Overall: B-
bazdol I thought this to be a pretty good example of a better soft core erotica film. It has a reasonable plot about the madame of a bordello caught up in a police scheme to nab a wealthy crook.Hardcore porn star Chloe Nichole again shows her genuine acting ability. She will occasionally appear in soft core such as "Body of Love" and "Lady Chatterly's Stories. Nicole Hilbig, on the other hand, leaves something to be desired in her role as the female cop.
