Dotbankey A lot of fun.
Jonah Abbott There's no way I can possibly love it entirely but I just think its ridiculously bad, but enjoyable at the same time.
Zandra The movie turns out to be a little better than the average. Starting from a romantic formula often seen in the cinema, it ends in the most predictable (and somewhat bland) way.
Billy Ollie Through painfully honest and emotional moments, the movie becomes irresistibly relatable
Marc Thibeault This is a wicked fun movie with great laughs but also a lot of heart in the middle of it. If you love Jeff Daniels and Ryan Reynolds just a fraction as much as me trust me you will love this overlooked little movie that really deserves much more credit.
archergal918 Never heard of this film, and here in 2018 I came across it on a streaming service. I decided to give it a watch because of the cast - some of my favorites including Jeff Daniels, Ryan Reynolds and Lisa Kudrow. Emma Stone is quite special in her role as a young lady with so many cares in this world. Jeff Daniels is at his very disarming best, I think. I laughed out loud many a time, mostly with Captain Excellent (oh Ryan, you have such great comic timing). If you've ever felt a bit lost in life and wondered what now, I think you'll find kindred spirits in this lovely film.
leonblackwood Review: I quite enjoyed this light drama/comedy about a writer who has an imaginary Superman- like alter ego, who is played by Ryan Reynolds, and his new found friend who is played by Emma Stone. The storyline does take some time to get going, but once it does, it's quite sweet and enjoyable. All of the actors put in great performances, especially Jeff Daniels who plays the lead and is struggling to write a book throughout the movie. I liked the original concept which was cleverly put together, and the many different elements keeps you interested in the development of each characters storyline. Watchable!Round-Up: The poster that goes with this movie is very deceptive because it looks like it's about a superhero. As this movie was made in 2009, Emma Stone & Ryan Reynolds wasn't household names yet so it didn't make a big impact, which is a shame because I have seen worse. Lisa Kudrow, who plays Jeff Daniels wife, was a great choice by the director because her style of acting suited her role. Anyway, it's light hearted fun which has a deep undertone.Budget: N/A Worldwide Gross: $14,000 (Terrible!)I recommend this movie to people who are into there drama/comedies about a struggling writer who has a Superhero as an imaginary friend. 5/10
muaysofik Always, when I've a bad mood or I'am sad, I watch this movie and I become happier :) Stuning E. Stone and great other actors make this little indie movie deeper, than some A-class movie. I think story is original and really different, than in other romantic-comedy movies. It isn't the movie, in which you laugh your ass off, but stir your sole. I really like two scenes, first is with sofa made of books and second is on the beach with stone. And of course scenes with wife are crazy cause our main writer is really special mid-age guy. I totally recommend this movie for everyone who has the day off and has bad mood for every reason. And if you like Emma Stone, you will like this movie too.
