KnotMissPriceless Why so much hype?

Juana what a terribly boring film. I'm sorry but this is absolutely not deserving of best picture and will be forgotten quickly. Entertaining and engaging cinema? No. Nothing performances with flat faces and mistaking silence for subtlety.
Roxie The thing I enjoyed most about the film is the fact that it doesn't shy away from being a super-sized-cliche;
harriconnell This movie replicated most of the plot points of the original but with none of the execution. None of the characters were that interesting so the pay-off wasn't that effective. Josh Brolin constantly changes personalities in order to fit into whatever the plot requires him to do. The camerawork was uninspired. The third act was basically just two people delivering exposition. Sharlto Copley was the one highlight, even though he wasn't amazing, everyone else was just ok.
Majikat Spike Lee respectfully takes on the iconic original and puts his version across with success. A murder, a kidnapping, mysterious happenings, an investigation thrown together with fate. Cult like in its visuals and tribute. Brolin makes the character his own.Much better than remembered, twisted, but genius!
lisahbabe Just finished watching this film. I really enjoyed it, it kept me guessing until the very end
Rexatron Why would you remake an almost perfect film that was only just over 10 years old?For people that can't be bothered to read subtitles? Run out of ideas? To make some quick cash?Whatever the reason it isn't good enough. Stay as far away as possible from this and watch the original masterpiece of cinema, the world would be better off without trashy Hollywood remakes like this one.
