Hellen I like the storyline of this show,it attract me so much
RipDelight This is a tender, generous movie that likes its characters and presents them as real people, full of flaws and strengths.
Derry Herrera Not sure how, but this is easily one of the best movies all summer. Multiple levels of funny, never takes itself seriously, super colorful, and creative.
Verity Robins Great movie. Not sure what people expected but I found it highly entertaining.
marcv8888 When I heard Chad's chiropractor say that he might overcome the sensation of the lower back pain in the heat of battle, but Chad's back injury could "make him slower, make him slower, make him slower".........I keep hearing that echoing in my head. Maybe its why I never developed much power in a straight punch ,myself being a martial artist because of my 3 ruptured discs. This docu is a must see for anyone with huge goals and dreams. Why? Its the reality that even if you put 110% into your dream, it still might not come true. They only need so many stars in any field, especially in sports and acting careers or any career where someone has to lose for another to win, this will wake you up, make you remember that: Someone has to be the janitor! The one thing Id like Chad himself or someone else to explain to me is, if staying at 135 was so hard and draining, and he could see by his last couple of fights he wasn't at his strongest, why didn't he move up to his normal weight or at least somewhere near it and have more strength? Bottom line, not only is Chad a heroic figure but he sets an example for many people. But not in the way all of you think. Now if any of you have a friend or even a child who has dreams of grandiosity or fame, have them watch this movie, and ask them if they are willing to work as hard as Chad.If not this film SHOWS them in "real-time" that others can and are. THIS FILM IS BEST IN ITS ROLE AS A CAREER COUNSELING TOOL FOR BOTH YOUNG AND OLDER ALIKE! Thanks Chad, you contributed a lot to counter "The Secret" and that whole cult of how positive thinking always wins in the end. YOU PROVED THE REALITY OF THAT STATEMENT..FALSE! GOD BLESS YOU in your future endeavors and I suspect that with your other talent, you just weren't yet put in the arena God has waiting for you. A film to inspire, for doers and creative thinkers. But why oh why did they put such a dull ending onto this flick?...Needed better editing. Chad I can see you going to Junior High schools all over the country and showing this film to help young people make realistic decisions and find their true talents. That is the REAL miracle of this film in the future, I believe.
Oscar Gonzalez This documentary kept me watching the whole time. Not only because its very well done and has a great story but because Chad George is a personal friend of mine. Chad and I were roommates in college and I remember when he first started doing MMA. At first I thought it was just a hobby- I had no idea he would take his passion to a championship level.A few years after graduation I moved out of Los Angeles so I missed watching Chad go on this Journey. Occupation Fighter gave me an inside look on Chad's life and what it takes to be a professional athlete. One of the highlights of the film is watching Chad showcase his art at an exhibit he put together at a local L.A. gallery. Chad is a dynamic human being that is very good at what he does. This is a must see for every MMA fan.
Dara_B A really compelling look at the work and sacrifice it takes to be an MMA fighter. It really opened my eyes to the amount of dedication it takes to be an MMA fighter. We usually only get to see the end result - the fight we watch. This was a very honest view into what it takes to get there.I highly recommend Occupation: Fighter for anyone who is a fight fan and wants to get an inside look at the life of a fighter. I was really impressed by both the fighter, Chad George, and the dedication of the people around him to helping him meet his goals.Inspiring, compelling, truthful and, at times, brutal. Makes the HBO specials about boxers getting ready for their fights seem pretty lame in comparison.
Patrick Howard I was interested in Occupation Fighter after I saw the trailer, but I had no clue how much it would alter my view of MMA. Of course you assume being an MMA fighter must be absurdly hard, but the extent to which their discipline and hardship goes is nearly unimaginable. Not even just in the cage, but long before the actual fight takes place these fighters are challenging themselves physically, mentally and emotionally to an insane level! After seeing Occupation: Fighter my respect for MMA fighters has grown thoroughly and my view of the entire sport has changed a lot! These are some truly amazing individuals and if you have even the slightest interest in the UFC, WEC, Strikeforce or just MMA in general this documentary will be quite enjoyable!
