Abbigail Bush what a terribly boring film. I'm sorry but this is absolutely not deserving of best picture and will be forgotten quickly. Entertaining and engaging cinema? No. Nothing performances with flat faces and mistaking silence for subtlety.

giri raj Nammora mandara hoove was something fresh that arrived in Kannada industry in late 90's. Shivrajkumar comes to Ramesh's (his close friend), home town and falls for the girl(prema) whom Rameshloves. The story is predictable but the difference the director makes is in capturing the beauty of unaccessible forests of YANA. The story also shows the yakshagana, cultural dance of Karnataka, as one of the important backdrop.The film was shot without a screenplay and to shoot in YANA, they had to employ a helicopter.the film also has very funny moments with Kashi & the old grandmother. the juxtaposition of the behavior of the elephant and the humans has been very craftily utilizer for the movie. the film may seem very slow now, but in its release time it did wonders and the producers started to concentrate much on stories rather than stars.
