VividSimon Simply Perfect
SunnyHello Nice effects though.
Matialth Good concept, poorly executed.
Staci Frederick Blistering performances.
Zeeshan Mahmud The movie started off solid in a serious tone. But then 20 minutes in I gave up. Just couldn't stand the drivel. Why do Bollywood movie makers feel that they need to inject sappy love story, stupid comical 'reliefs' and cheesy romantic songy vibes to make a movie sellable?Have some respect for your work instead of kowtowing to please the hoi polloi. This is why movies from India never wins Oscar.
Saish Gaonkar India where Bollywood is center of Hindi movie industry it is very difficult to see a movie with a blend of a good story line actors who really play the role as if its actually his real life. Manjhi is based on true story where nawaz portrays the character of Dasharath manjhi, we knew that a person called manjhi has cut down a mountain to pay a way between 2 cities so that no one will face the problem which his wife had faced through. But know one knew what struggle he had gone though to complete this huge task. This movie beautifully portrays the story which will leave you overwhelmed. Radhika apte also plays a strong character of a beautiful wife and has given her above par performance. Director Ketan Mehta has given anything he could to make this biography come to life. and one of the important thing not to miss apart from performance are the dialogues, Dialogues are best part of the movie which will leave you mesmerized. Over all Manjhi is a must watch.
silvan-desouza Nawazuddin Siddiqui is slowly becoming a one man army in bollywood, his films may not be big hits(solo) but mostly gather acclaim. MANJHI is a story of real life Mountain Man who broke the mountains of Bihar to make a road. The film is well handled by Ketan Mehta though the focus towards love story could be lesser, but yet it's well handled and the audience requires little amount of entertainment or the same ppl grumble later. The film keeps going back and forth and keeps you glued except a few hiccups like a forced dream scene.etc could be avoided.Direction is awesomeNawazuddin Siddiqui gives his one of best performances, this actor is truly one of the best we have. He just breathes life into any character Radhika Apte too is fab in her role, Tigmanshu Dhulia and Pankaj Tripathi are getting typecast but are good nonetheless Prashant Narayanan is superb in a cameo The late Ashraful Haque who plays Nawaz's father is simply superb, he passed away in february during the making of the film. rest are okay
racemose If Indian viewers can spend 100 Million on Prem Ratan Dhan Payo than this movie is definitely not for this kind of public.Movie opens with the Nawazud Din standing on the Mountain and calling "Aray Bharam hey Bharam".A man standing on huge mountain, tells the mountain that 'this is illusion'. A perfect opener. Please don't watch if you have already spent your two cents on Prem Ratan Dhan Payo's 100 Million.Nawaz ud din alone took the movie from start to end. Music is not that bad. 'Phagunia' role was good.
