Jakoba True to its essence, the characters remain on the same line and manage to entertain the viewer, each highlighting their own distinctive qualities or touches.
erikferguson1 Reading the reviews for this movie is hilarious. Most of these people weren't high when they watched the movie, or don't smoke weed at all. This is a super cheap b-movie weed comedy made by two rappers. The other reviewers must not have been able to comprehend this or; based on my suspicions, are uptight, square, movie snobs AKA (the type of people to spend a hour watching a movie specifically made to cater ONLY to weed smokers when they Don't EVEN SMOKE THEMSELVES) and then actually go sit at a computer and waste even more of their time explaining why they cant appreciate it.In case your an old person, or just completely out of today's culture, this movie has an intro explaining what you should already know. This movie was made for a high audience. There is no ground breaking comedy here. Very simple humor that's funny because its ridiculous and it seemed like a good idea at the time of filming or snoop or wiz thought it was funny enough to be in the movie.I tried to keep that mindset while watching the movie and I thoroughly enjoyed it. And I only got high halfway through it. I like to equate these other reviewers to people nowadays who say " rap nowadays is so bad, all they talk about is money and hoes, Wheres the deep meaning and soulful lyrics like they used to have waaaaaaahhhhhh" Not every song or movie has to be serious or have some deep meaning or context, it doesn't even have to be that well made. When you listen to rap or any other music. The only thing that matters is if you can have a good time while listening to it. The same thing goes for movies. If you can stop taking everything so seriously and just try and appreciate something for what it is, Then I guarantee you that this movie, and any other art form in general can be enjoyed. Also to the guy who talked trash about andy milonakis. Are you serious dude. Of course hes not a gangster. Do you actually think you or anyone else needs to give him a reality check? Stop taking these roles? What? Him taking the role is what makes it funny because its so ridiculous. I hope im just misinterpreting what you wrote.
Zeus-ified This movie is the worst movie i have ever seen. Smoke from Hips? Are u serious? I am giving this movie 2 stars because of the soundtrack of this movie. The whole movie is on smoking. Smoking, smoking, smoking and only Smoking. I never liked smoking. Snopp Dogg and Wiz Khalifa u both are good Artist but why this movie? I Wasn't expecting this from Wiz Khalifa and Snopp Dogg. Another bad point is A ghost of smoke. Come on man! The Worst Movie ever. I suggest the director and producer to stop making movies and enjoy the other movies. There are bad movies but this movie is the worst movie ever. the sound track is good. instead of this movie "8 Miles" is very good movie. Get rich or die trying is also good. this is my first review on this website. This movie is totally waste of time, energy, electricity.
Loik Alefsen Listen, everybody saying this movie is bad... THAT'S COS IT'S A LOW BUDGET FILM! Y'all can't be talking bout special effects n sh*t, cos this movie was posted for FREE online. All Snoop & Wiz are doing is promoting Young & Wild & Free and weed smoking and having a laugh! If you think this movie is bad, you got no business watching this kind of movie, cos you don;t watch a weed movie then post bit*h ass comments like that. Some of ya obviously didn't put their ganja goggles on! It's free entertainment, so stop complaining. If you can;t appreciate that then you srsly need to chillanyway, it wasn't a bad movie! good plot + good acting
Greg Wilson Being a fan of the Mac and Devin Album I found the movie to be entertaining. Whilst I found many of the reviews on this site to be rather misinformed or misleading. First off Wiz's acting wasn't up to par because let's face it he's a rapper not an actor, contrary to popular belief not all entertainers can make that transition into a different medium. Considering the circumstances, his first time on screen, I think Wiz did great and if that were something he would want to continue to do it would take work and time. While some of the reviewers found Snoop's acting a little dry I would have to disagree. But with awards and even more nominations Snoop has already proved himself to be a successful actor. Check the facts, it's not up for debate.I can't stand the comparisons to "How High" or as one reviewer even went as far as"Superbad". As far as low budget films go it was pretty good. The "movie" was an hour long, more like a TV special if you ask me, so any comparisons to a higher budgeted feature film just seems unfair. If you didn't enjoy the film because of their promotion of weed culture Im sorry to say its Wiz and Snoop. What did you expect? I found some of the jokes to be corny, predicable, or unfunny while I found myself dying from laughter at times. I could have honestly done without Andy Milonakis character. To those of you that didn't enjoy the musical breaks in-between scenes, I regret to inform you that the movie was adapted from the concept of a collab album, not the other way around. You would really have to be a fan of the music and the album to truly enjoy the film. The film wasn't meant to sell an album that was released almost a year ago, nor was it meant to be an extended music video to songs they already have videos for. It was made to go that extra mile and give a little extra to the fans and they succeeded in that delivery.
