Yo, there's no way for me to review this film without saying, take your *insert ethnicity + "ass" here* to see this film, like now. You have to see it in order to know what you're really messing with.

It's funny, it's tense, it features two great performances from two actors and the director expertly creates a web of odd tension where you actually don't know what is happening for the majority of the run time.

Saw snippets of this "blink and you'll miss it" silent some years ago during a television documentary highlighting the early years of film in the US.LUKE'S FIREWORK FIZZLE was one of an incredible 36 titles that Hal Roach turned out in 1916. In all he made 48 "Luke" films, all starring a young Harold Lloyd as the perpetually uncoordinated Luke. This one concerned itself with his brief period of employment in a firework factory when things became radically overheated!Even here, Lloyd showed why he was to be regarded later as one of the greatest comic geniuses ever.
