Pacionsbo Absolutely Fantastic
FirstWitch A movie that not only functions as a solid scarefest but a razor-sharp satire.
Tymon Sutton The acting is good, and the firecracker script has some excellent ideas.
Brenda The plot isn't so bad, but the pace of storytelling is too slow which makes people bored. Certain moments are so obvious and unnecessary for the main plot. I would've fast-forwarded those moments if it was an online streaming. The ending looks like implying a sequel, not sure if this movie will get one
FandomFanatic21 Kidnap, follows a mother whose son has been kidnapped and goes through great lengths to catch the captor/s before time run's out for her son and possibly other victims. Kidnap, was an intense film and truly captured the theme of mother love. The events she faces and the action she must take to save her son is stunning and emotional. I would say the film is decent and has heart. Though this film is definitely a watch at a home film and if you want, when you have the time. I didn't love it, though it did have me on the edge of my seat and it was a good film."Let me tell you something, as long as my son is in that car, I will not stop. Wherever you go I will be right behind you."-Karla Dyson, Kidnap
trulyunexpected7 Can't believe there are so many bad reviews, she just reacted how a normal person would to such a situation. Great movie !!
GrammarMatters I like Halle Berry, but I couldn't sit through one more second of this stupidity at about the 10 minute point of this movie while watching an incompetent, useless, shrieking hysterical woman do nothing right to stop the car carrying away her kidnapped child. It's just way, WAY to painful to sit screaming at the screen while watching an ineffectual twit who can't drive and makes stupid mistake after stupid mistake - starting with dropping her phone - so then she's helplessly yelling at cars beside her to call the cops while she chases the bad guys.I'm sorry guys - this junk MIGHT get better after this - but I can't sit through watching a frantic woman act like an idiot while her child is being taken.
Leofwine_draca As an undemanding thriller, I found KIDNAP a lot of fun and a lot better than the reviews I previously read led me to believe. It's one of the many interesting films that Netflix are making themselves today and in the process giving traditional Hollywood films a run for their money. The film stars Halle Berry as a determined mother who snaps into action when her child is kidnapped, forcing her into a cross-country pursuit to rescue him. The structure is a little like a modern-day DUEL, without the same kind of suspense, although there's plenty of momentum to see this one through. I found Berry's acting somewhat limited and histrionic at times, and it doesn't help that the script gives her the dumbest lines to recite, literally spoon-fed "explain the plot" moments. On the plus side, there are nice little turns for Lew Temple and Christopher Berry, both of THE WALKING DEAD, and the cinematography is quite nice, particularly in the many and varied car chase moments.
