ChanBot i must have seen a different film!!
Portia Hilton Blistering performances.
Fleur Actress is magnificent and exudes a hypnotic screen presence in this affecting drama.
Jenni Devyn Worth seeing just to witness how winsome it is.
Michael Ledo This is an odd found footage tape with a twist, that really didn't matter. In our found footage tape, Russian soldiers speak English with Russian accents. Germans tend to speak German for reasons unknown. A group of WWII Russian soldiers quietly approach a village while a camera is whirling the whole time. They discover a third generation or so, Dr. Frankenstein who is connecting humans to various instruments and mechanical devices except chainsaws which has been done (see DVD cover). They make very tough hand to hand soldiers, if not absurdly darkly comical, giving the viewer the feeling, "What am I watching?' and "Why am I still watching this?"Guide: F-bomb. No sex or nudity
clarkie08 Ah, no. Just no. Not sure where to start with this one so I won't.
BA_Harrison World War II: a squad of Russian soldiers stumble upon a Nazi laboratory run by Viktor Frankenstein (Karel Roden), who has been continuing his family's legacy, creating freakish super soldiers by combining cadavers and machinery. There really isn't much of a plot to Frankenstein's Army—the soldiers encounter the monsters and die—leaving the film's success resting almost entirely on the effectiveness of its bizarre steam-punk creations. Sadly, the shaky, hand-held, first-person documentary style in which the movie is shot doesn't allow for a very good look at these monstrosities, and leaves the viewer wishing that the film-makers had taken a more traditional approach. Glimpses of the film's creatures look impressive, but I wanted to see them in much more detail to fully appreciate their design. Some decent effects during the scenes in which Frankenstein performs messy brain surgery will appeal to the gore-hounds, but on the whole this feels like a missed opportunity to make something really special.4.5/10, rounded up to 5 for IMDb.
al1-3 The whole movie felt like the best bits of Doom and Wolfenstein characters rolled into a 'found footage' movie. I thoroughly enjoyed the movie, the action cam effect works great in a movie such as this. I was looking forward to what new creation was around the next corner, they are so well done. If you know Wolfenstein's premise then you know that a lot of the creatures in it are lab experiments that were created for Hitler's army. Undead zombies and creatures that have guns and cutting implements molded to their arms and torsos. Lots of blood and gore to please everyone! Enjoy it for what it is, entertainment, both humorous and dramatic throughout and an overall solid presentation. One to watch a few times to appreciate the effort gone into the gorgeous detailed monsters.
