For all the hype it got I was expecting a lot more!
Murphy Howard
I enjoyed watching this film and would recommend other to give it a try , (as I am) but this movie, although enjoyable to watch due to the better than average acting fails to add anything new to its storyline that is all too familiar to these types of movies.
Kaelan Mccaffrey
Like the great film, it's made with a great deal of visible affection both in front of and behind the camera.

The tone of this movie is interesting -- the stakes are both dramatic and high, but it's balanced with a lot of fun, tongue and cheek dialogue.

Just finished A Family For Christmas by Lindale Finlay.Whilst I thoroughly enjoyed the story one thing puzzled me,the word receipt when I thought the word recipe should have been used. This was all through the book so not a one off mistake

This is simply a, practically scene by scene, copy of "The Family Man" from 2000. And in that version, it was a MAN that ended up seeing what his life would be like with a family instead of a powerful career. Hallmark has done this with other films and it's pretty standard to swap the genders with the movie they copy.

Has to be my least favorite Hallmark movie ever. The best thing about this movie is that Candace Cameron Bure wasn't in it. So tired of seeing her in so many Hallmark movies, I can't keep her characters straight. But back to this movie, talk about an husband who doesn't support his wife. Didn't see any chemistry between husband and wife. Kids were cute enough. Would have liked to see a bigger supporting cast, friends that were fun to be around. I would love to see more movies with Alicia Witt in them. Someone mentioned having a Hallmark Christmas movie channel and I'd love that. And does everyone have to have 10 lines in their reviews? I've see many reviews with a lot less.

I thought this was a very entertaining and enjoyable movie. Despite the fact that it is July, I love Hallmark Christmas movies.Lacey Chabert plays a young woman who is faced with the question of what if. Santa gives her a chance to see what her life would be like if she hadn't got on the plane and left her college sweetheart ten years ago.She wakes up with two kids and married to him. At first it is awkward and she acts strangely. But she quickly grows to love them and just as she is settling in, boom! Santa brings her back to reality.Anyone that has watched a Hallmark film can see where the ending is headed. Yes, Lacey's character realizes her mistakes and gets her happy ending with her love. No, this is not an award-winning film, but it ISN'T supposed to be. Lacey Chabert, for my money, is the best actress in these TV films. She is not only gorgeous and talented, but she has a sweet disposition that makes any movie she is in instantly enjoyable. Check this out when the Countdown to Christmas starts later this year, you won't regret it.
