CheerupSilver Very Cool!!!
Curapedi I cannot think of one single thing that I would change about this film. The acting is incomparable, the directing deft, and the writing poignantly brilliant.
ActuallyGlimmer The best films of this genre always show a path and provide a takeaway for being a better person.
Marva It is an exhilarating, distressing, funny and profound film, with one of the more memorable film scores in years,
Pacific Standard Time I was so impressed with this film, from the writing, acting, character interactions, relationships and everyday problems we face, it felt real and it blew me away. All the parts were brilliantly played.Director/Daddy Gerald McCullouch shines bright here, delivering a riveting performance that had me at the edge of my seat. His acting is incredible, his eyes are like piercing daggers, you feel all of his emotions, literally sent chills down my spine. It's like that every role he plays, which is why I'm a big fan of his.All the films music is from musician Corey Tut, a master of great music, fits so well in this movie. This is a GEM, watch it now, what are you waiting for?
peteranthonymartin I thought this film was great; a pleasant surprise! The acting and writing were great, the directing was excellent, and I was definitely shocked (in a good way) where the story goes. I was very pleased to see a film that positively portrays a older/younger gay relationship with real depth and heart. But then I was even more pleased with the how the complicated the relationship becomes, it made the story/relationship more real and grounded. I was a fan of Mr. McCullouch from the Bear City movies and his acting is pretty great in each of these films. But I really hope he will be doing more directing in the future. It was some pretty impressive work for his first feature length movie. Dan Via also displays some great acting work for only having a handful of acting credits to his name. Very impressive! I wish I caught the stage version. Looking forward to seeing more from Dan as well. Bravo and congrats to the cast and crew!
Joel "Daddy" is excellent. Gerald and Dan have created a film that is in-depth, engrossing and a tad startling. Camera work is wonderful and each and every single person featured is giving their best as part of this movie. This is also the directorial debut of Gerald McCullough. He's done a great job.The pacing of the film is terrific. You feel carried along into an engrossing, deeply personal experience.I'm not in the film business. I also rarely go to see first run films as so many of them are, to be honest, not very good."Daddy" is a welcome exception. I'll state it again...See this film!
aguerra-69443 The movie Daddy was directed well by Gerald McCullough and had an amazing twist that kept me glued to the television until the end thanks to the superb writing of Dan Via who played one of the main characters. And of course it never hurts to see Gerald McCollough as he is pleasing to the eye. Completely unexpected plot twist that will have your jaw dropped until the end and wondering where they will take it. Strong characters and good acting performed by all included in this production and thankful for the twisted ride in movie land that superbly provided. Thanks and look forward to seeing more movies based on strong gay characters. Never had such things while growing up and make me grateful and hopeful for the future of gay cinema to depict more movies starring gay actors. 😊
