Synopsis

Earth as we know it is gone. A virus has destroyed the planet and rendered all its women infertile, all but one. An elite team of soldiers are tasked with bringing the woman to safety on the newly habitable Earth Two. But when they are forced underground they find themselves fighting for survival from an bloodthirsty creature in a maze of ever shrinking tunnels. As the team's ranks start to dwindle, the tunnels shrink and the ammunition run out, the crawl for survival becomes more and more desperate.

UnowPriceless hyped garbage
Salubfoto It's an amazing and heartbreaking story.
Catangro After playing with our expectations, this turns out to be a very different sort of film.
Sameer Callahan It really made me laugh, but for some moments I was tearing up because I could relate so much.
Uzi Kozhien I was originally planning to give this a 6 for trying, alas, rethinking does force me to decrease to 5... I don't think it deserves lower, but it also does not deserve higher either. Had this been 45-60min in length, then maybe.Scrappy security team protects last fertile woman in existence from an alien creature doggedly pursuing them. I won't call them soldiers, since they make a couple decisions that distinctly mark them untrained in that regard... But overall the actors do well enough with what they got.The backstory is told in an unnecessary flashback and could've easily been recounted by the characters in-action. The backstory is pretty basic and works mostly as an excuse to force the events upon our protagonists, exactly like in older Shoot-Em-Up -games, and is thus pretty irrelevant to the actual happenings on-screen.What happens, then? Here we come into the main pro AND con of the movie: most of it is simply crawling through very, VERY cramped spaces and while it ups the claustrophobia, it also gets rather dull to watch and I constantly had the feeling that Crawl or Die would've worked better if it were shorter.Creature itself is a cheap Alien rip-off, though that doesn't matter much to me, as I prefer cheap but usually workable practical effects to cheap and usually crappy CGI.All in all, I'm not regretting buying the DVD on cheap, but also don't think I'll watch it again anytime soon! Had the writer-director kept this at the length of approx a TV episode, it could've worked better, so my verdict will be "Nice try, try again!", especially if he's planning to continue Tank's story in the future. =)
Richard Dominguez While being a big fan of scary movies, this one was new to me and the experience was new as well. I agree whatever is chasing them is scary the real nightmare for me was the thought of the tunnel getting tighter and tighter as everyone keeps moving forward. How many of us haven't had to squeeze into a closet or sit in a small chair or ride a packed bus or subway. The movie conveys the feeling of being squeezed in with excellent effect. I didn't rank it very high because the movie in my opinion was very simply (not much plot), but the feeling of anxiety stuck with me through out the film, as well as the curiosity of where the tunnel was going to end, if it was going to end. If you catch yourself nosing through on line video selections or scrolling through your cable TV menu and see this one, Stop and check this one out.
Paul Round Just how on earth is this receiving the high marks on IMDb? I can only imagine it's friends and family of the film maker and cast that are writing them because the reviews do not reflect the quality of this film. It's a badly scripted and badly realised mish mash of influences such as Alien, Aliens and The Descent but without any of the things that made those memorable such as a cohesive plot or character development. The characters are so one dimensional as to be non existent and are mostly confined to a couple of sentences along with a grunt or two. The main protagonist is a poor copy of Tank Girl and seems to think that simply curling your lip is an accurate portrayal of being tough. The plot has very big holes and inconsistencies which I don't believe were deliberate but rather that the writer couldn't be bothered to actually be doing with such things and believe that the action would carry it along. That may have been true if the pacing didn't veer from confused to drawn out. This wouldn't work even as a poorly executed video game. The one thing it does do fairly reasonably is a claustrophobic cinematography but this is a one trick pony and wears thin very quickly. If this had been edited down to a 20 minute short it may have had its merits but at its current length this film shows its inadquecies in a woeful manner for all to see. They say imitation is the highest form of flattery but in this case I really would change that to insult. I don't mind no budget films and love experimental, challenging, indie and art house films but this fails on every level leaving the viewer robbed of the time watching this that could have been used more constructively - for example watching paint dry.
O Mr i'll start off by saying i'm pretty sad to see the comparisons to this and that movie. "its like alien"..."its a cheap the descent knock-off" great so in that case any movie that features a similar aspect to another movie automatically reduces your review to 4 stars? Heck in that case The Raid 2 gets 4 stars as it features a prison...just like..oh Shawshank Redemption, the much..better..plotted..movie.People have to realise what was accomplished with this movie on $8000! I'd never personally seen such a movie as this, and having watched some pretty intense movies the past 3 decades (in fact thousands of movies as i'm a bit of a movie nut) I can safely say that it made me feel ill just by watching the gorgeous Tank character and what she had to go through. With no certainty of getting out of it in one piece, an ever-tightening sense of fear and isolation, and with a relentless single entity in pursuit in one massive extended 1 hour 29m scene. And you know what else? I commented about the movie on social media and received lovely replies of thanks back from the director and star, lovely polite people that appreciate their fans. So, enough of the comparisons to other movies, this had PLENTY more going for it as an 'own piece' Mr O, England
