Baseshment I like movies that are aware of what they are selling... without [any] greater aspirations than to make people laugh and that's it.

ashish3 A totally pathetic attempt at a hero centric movie. Contain more plot holes than there are edited scenes. Seeing Dean Cain from "Ripley's believe it or not" as the hero, I thought it might be an OK movie. God was I wrong! Forget about ripping off Die Hard - it is an insult to the Die Hard series. A suspended police officer carries fully loaded guns with extra ammunition when shopping for a boutique!! No bad guy ever hurts him, even if he is stronger than our hero!! No bullet ever hits him!! He is always able to find where the bad guys are, while the bad guys always seems to forget that there is a suspended police officer on their trails. He kills all the bad guys, yet his wife preaches about killing to the villain!! Villain and the last remaining bad guys are always stupid enough to NOT kill him and let him follow them everywhere!! If these are spoilers for someone who wants to watch the movie, they don't know about the standard Hollywood formula for making movies. My advice, stay away from this one at all cost, even if your life depends on watching this one!!

scottlit Is it just me, or is this just B-movie Die Hard in a mall? The perfect heist? An ingenious escape involving explosives? One cop who accidentally ends up in the middle of things? His wife used as a hostage? This all sounds very familiar. Hmmm....On the other hand, it is reasonably entertaining, and if you liked Die Hard, and you're bored, and you see it come on on TBS, you could probably do worse. The guy who plays the main hero is no Bruce Willis, but he does a pretty good job here...I could've done without the strobe effect in the tunnel at the end though. Is this required by the MPAA in all B-movies?

Waxy88 First of all, this movie was entertaining, the only problem was that it had already been done! There were way too many similarities to Die Hard for me to not notice, even some direct ones that made me laugh because they were things that happened in Die hard that werent even necessary to the original story. If the writers of Christmas Rush really wrote this script originally, then I feel really bad for them. Man all that work, and then its done, they watch it and are like "oh crap, we just wrote Die Hard!" Even though the actual Die Hard Can be seen as a cliche, I think that it was still well done and original, and I'm sure it took lots of work to write. If the Christmas Rush writers really didnt even think about Die Hard, then it sucks to be them, all that work for nothing! The reason I was only half-joking about them rewriting it unintentionlly if because if they wanted to make a cheesey Die Hard spinoff, then they would have at least made an attempt to hide it. Plenty of movies are spinoffs of other movies, but the writers do try to hid it unlike Christmas rush.all in all, I thought it was a pretty good movie, and if it had been original, I would have liked it more, although laughing at the die hard similarities kind of added to the fun!

Tonci Pivac I have to say i realy enjoyed this movie, I like Eric Roberts Dispite the list of B-movies he does. I thought they could have done better then Dean Caine, but oh well.This movie clearly had a low budget, but they did well with it, I mean hay it's better then "Raptor"
