Reviews

Glimmerubro It is not deep, but it is fun to watch. It does have a bit more of an edge to it than other similar films.
Forumrxes Yo, there's no way for me to review this film without saying, take your *insert ethnicity + "ass" here* to see this film, like now. You have to see it in order to know what you're really messing with.
Arianna Moses Let me be very fair here, this is not the best movie in my opinion. But, this movie is fun, it has purpose and is very enjoyable to watch.
Scarlet The film never slows down or bores, plunging from one harrowing sequence to the next.
Coventry You have to at least show some respect for writer/director Frank Sabatella. For his debut long-feature "Blood Night" he did absolutely nothing special or innovative, but nevertheless delivered a hugely amusing and 100% unpretentious slasher movie that gave me personally a lot of viewing pleasure! It actually pretty much seems like Sabatella simply opened the big unwritten book of horror movie clichés and stereotypes and processed every single one in his screenplay. Literally everything you can think of is present here: the intro with a flashback set in the gritty 1970's, a dark ominous asylum, perverted night guards, horny drunken teenagers, Ouija boards, the creepy but wise cemetery caretaker, evil heritages, actors that are way too old for their teenage character roles and a whole lot of graphic axe-murders! Mary Hatchet is the nickname of a local anti-heroine whose murderous rampage became a holiday more popular than Halloween. She butchered her parents with an axe in 1978, but really went berserk in 1989, when she delivered a stillborn baby as a result of being raped by a guard. Twenty years after her death, a bunch of teenagers passes by her grave with a Ouija board before heading home and party hard. It doesn't take long before the dim- witted teenagers are knocked off one by one, seemingly by the hand of the resurrected Mary Hatchet herself. "Blood Night" is – plain and simple – pure brainless horror entertainment. Yes, the gory make-up effects are utterly grotesque and fake and there isn't a single moment of suspense to detect in the entire film, but I don't think anyone can claim they were bored whilst watching this. The characters are walking, talking stereotypes that deliver the utmost idiotic lines, but somehow they come across as realistic. Last but not least, Sabatella managed to engage two famous horror names for his modest production, namely veteran Bill Moseley and upcoming starlet Danielle Harris. Recommended if you're looking for … nothing special except a good hour and a half of sheer entertainment.
donnaplus3-9-336104 When I First Saw The Preview I Thought It Was Going To Be Good. And Which It Did It's A Shame I Didn't See Danielle Harris In The Preview. She Took Forever To Be In A Scene. I Didn't Know Danielle Harris Character Of Alissa Was Going To Be The Killer. I Thought It Was Mary Hatchet The Whole Time. However Mary Hatchet Did Kill A Few People In The Film. While Her Daughter Does The Rest. But This Is Still A Great Film Definitely Must See For Horror Fans. It Has Amount Of Nudity Gore Language Drug Content/Alcohol Content/Sexual Content. Please Check Out This Film Again For Those Who Didn't Like The Film Just Please Watch It Again. Just To See That It Is A Great Horror Slasher Film.
ruud-16 I found this movie actually not as bad as the rating and reviews made it out to be. Visually it's reasonably pleasing, although a pint or more less of blood being thrown across the screen could have helped giving the movie a more serious touch. The one thing that distracts from the fun is the very poor soundtrack. Surely a bit more budget there would have helped lots.Other than that, the pace wasn't too fast, but not too slow either. It's a usual student-type movie with the gratuitous unique-selling-points of sex ramping up to a nice movie for a Thursday evening when nothing much is happening otherwise.Still, nice enough if you're into a horror movie where you don't have to think much.
Jan Strydom While watching BLOOD NIGHT I couldn't help but role my eyes around when hearing some of the dialog and witnessing the stupidity of the characters who seem to lack the ability to use common sense, not to mention that none of them are particularly likable.the plot itself is probably one of the most unimaginative I've seen in a long time, its so unimaginative that even the clichés have clichés and it really has some stupid moments.1. Before the killer starts slashing everyone every spooky moment in this film from a door slamming shut to a window breaking even to a door that gets knocked completely out its hinges gets blamed on the wind, despite the fact that you can tell that there is no wind inside or outside the house everything gets blamed on the wind that's not even there, unless the actual wind is really being caused by someone farting in the house.2. The gore effects in this film are terrible, to be more specific, all the blood and guts are pink, I'm talking strawberry flavored milkshake pink so the other shock is that other reviewers actually like this, I honestly don't see any real die hard slasher fan approving of this mess of a movie with such terrible gore that looks like strawberry flavored milkshake.Overall, do not pass go, do not pay to see this movie and save your 90 minutes for something way better.
