Intcatinfo A Masterpiece!
CrawlerChunky In truth, there is barely enough story here to make a film.
Aneesa Wardle The story, direction, characters, and writing/dialogue is akin to taking a tranquilizer shot to the neck, but everything else was so well done.
Taha Avalos The best films of this genre always show a path and provide a takeaway for being a better person.
dalaye Although many will find fault with this movie, the naive approach taken is unique for vampire movies and the storyline places it among the top vampire movies for must see - along with Let Me In, Interview with a Vampire. However, if Dracula type story lines and high budget is more your style, you simply won't appreciate the movie. The story portrays the education and ignorance of a newly raised vampire and her new friend, neither of whom are aware of how to handle the situations encountered. The low budget is obvious and takes away from the quality of the movie for most viewers, to be sure, but watch it for the unique storyline.
Woodyanders Down on his luck night shift paramedic Jack's (an excellent and engaging performance by Jason Mewes) heretofore miserable lot in life seems to perk up after he meets and falls for lovely and mysterious young lady Danika (a fine and appealing portrayal by insanely foxy brunette Erica Cox). The only problem is that Danika turns out to be a deadly and insatiable vampire. Director Harv Glazer, working from a quirky and witty script by Tyler Levine and Tim McGregor, relates the engrossing oddball story at a steady pace, milks the hysterically funny sense of cheerfully rude'n'raunchy humor for plenty of belly laughs, maintains a likably offbeat tongue-in-cheek tone, and delivers several sidesplitting moments of inspired pitch-black comedy. Moreover, Glazer also wrings some pathos out of the doomed central toxic romance and makes a valid point that there's only so far a person can go for another person. The often foul-mouthed dialogue manages to be hilariously profane throughout. Mewes and Cox make for for winning leads, with Cox in particular a definite stand-out with her sympathetic characterization as the sweet, yet lethal Danika. Richard Fitzpatrick lends terrific support as Jack's boorish, jolly, and concerned buddy Roger. Simon Shohet's sharp cinematography expertly uses shadowy lighting to striking stylish effect. As a tasty extra plus, the delectable Mrs. Cox bears her blazing hot body with pleasing regularity. A real hoot.
Claudio Carvalho The paramedic Jack (Jason Mewes) works in the graveyard shift and is needy of love since his girlfriend Sherry (Jordan Madley) dumped him. His peer Roger (Richard Fitzpatrick) is bored of his laments in the ambulance and suggests him to date another girl. While going home after hours, he sees a beautiful woman covered with blood in the alley and she refuses to go to the hospital. Jack brings the stranger home and nurses her until she is recovered and tells her name, Danika (Erica Cox). Jack falls in love with Danika that seems to be drug addicted suffering from withdraw symptoms. Sooner Jack discovers that Danika is a vampire and she is not addicted but starving of blood and he has a serious problem at home. "Bitten" is a politically incorrect comedy about the love between a lovelorn paramedic and a sexy vampire starved of blood. The story is entertaining and Jason "Jay" Mewes and Richard Fitzpatrick are very funny most of the time. I was disappointed with the open end of the film but I found that the conclusion is actually in the end of the credits with Roger nursing Jack. My vote is five.Title (Brazil): "Amor Entre Vampiros" ("Love Between Vampires")
abisio I never had great appreciation on Jason Mewes stoned characters even if they are fun to watch; but this time is a clean person, full of personality issues though. In any case he delivers a solid, sometimes funny and sometimes sad performance as a paramedic in personal crisis. It is a pity that Erica Cox (aside from an excellent body, generously shown), is not capable of any acting; otherwise this will be an above average; almost very good movie.Jack (Mewes), a paramedic in the middle of a live crisis (his fiancée betrayed him and his life goes nowhere) finds Danika (Cox), a beautiful soon-to-become vampire and decides to protect her while falling for her. The vampire, of course needs to feed very often and her tastes are expensive in terms of human lives. The budget is minimal; most of the action occurs inside Jack's apartment and the all but the three characters existed to become food. However, there is a rather cruel portrait of middle to low class society hidden before the surface. People passing through life; completely dehumanized and selfish with no moral values. Jack had refused to return his fiancée her stuff; because he is a fetish and also as a way to get her back; however when Danike kills her; he gets very happy because she cheated on him. Jack's best friend Roger is only concerned about sex and has no respect people or privacy. Jack neighbors' are drug dealers or miserable people. With this kind of twisted people around; the vampire feels almost natural. It is really sad the movie never goes beyond the light satire. An interested and very dark comedy could come out of that with just a little touching on the story and a stricter actor's direction.
