Rijndri Load of rubbish!!
Pluskylang Great Film overall
Brainsbell The story-telling is good with flashbacks. The film is both funny and heartbreaking. You smile in a scene and get a soulcrushing revelation in the next.
Jonah Abbott There's no way I can possibly love it entirely but I just think its ridiculously bad, but enjoyable at the same time.
TheLittleSongbird Fleischer were responsible for some brilliant cartoons, some of them still among my favourites. Their visual style often stunning and some of the most imaginative and ahead of its time in animation. The character of Betty Boop, one of their most famous and prolific characters, may not be for all tastes and sadly not as popular now, but her sex appeal was quite daring for the time and to me there is an adorable sensual charm about her. The charm, sensuality and adorability factors can be seen throughout 'Betty Boop's Bizzy Bee' and she is a joy to watch. She is very well matched by the characters of Bimbo and Koko, both of whom (especially Bimbo) having some very funny moments.Furthermore, the black and white animation is very good, smooth, meticulously detailed and well drawn with the black and white not looking too primitive. A lot of it is actually very imaginative, especially in the busier and stranger parts. Even better is the music, which is rousing, catchy and unquestionably accessible to anybody who loves or is familiar with the compositional style.'Betty Boop's Bizzy Bee' is funny and charming stuff throughout too. Very little is wrong and there is little to criticise actually, but just a word of warning, don't go looking for sense or much of a story. For Betty Boop it is a strange cartoon and it may take more than one viewing for one to decide how they feel about it, depending on how much "strange" they can take. Plot-wise it's thin to practically non-existent, but is more than compensated by the imagination and energy of the rest of the cartoon's execution.Overall, quite strange, for Betty Boop, but also very entertaining. Definitely worth tracking down. 8/10 Bethany Cox
Horst in Translation (filmreviews@web.de) "Betty Boop's Bizzy Bee" is a 7-minute black-and-white cartoon from 1932, so this one will have its 85th anniversary next year. It's another Fleischer production starring Betty Boop and in here she plays a cook/restaurant owner and everybody comes to her place to grab a bit of her delicious what cakes and this include Bosco and Coco as well. Bosco is pretty hilarious to watch I must say with how hungry he is and how he keeps eating one after the other. And the other customers keep eating and eating too, so much that they actually get sick in the end. Sadly, I did not enjoy the watch too much. I saw quite a bit of creativity, but it was never really funny or at least above-average entertaining. I did like the music though. All in all, it's just not a memorable little cartoon and I would not put it anywhere near my Betty Boop favorites. Watch something else instead.
Robert Reynolds This is the strangest Betty Boop I have ever seen in my life! Bit and pieces make a strange kind of sense here and there, but it has to be easily the oddest Betty Boop made. Hard to describe, as it must be seen if it's to make even marginal sense at all. The ending is obvious to me-at least I think it is. I can't be at all certain. If you like Betty, then you'll probably like this one. Worth watching. Recommended to fans of Betty Boop.
