Nessieldwi Very interesting film. Was caught on the premise when seeing the trailer but unsure as to what the outcome would be for the showing. As it turns out, it was a very good film.
Maidexpl Entertaining from beginning to end, it maintains the spirit of the franchise while establishing it's own seal with a fun cast
Invaderbank The film creates a perfect balance between action and depth of basic needs, in the midst of an infertile atmosphere.
Sameer Callahan It really made me laugh, but for some moments I was tearing up because I could relate so much.
iofi The worst of the worst from Syfy. The plot line is meandering and occasionally non-existent. The writing is child like at best. The directing is weak. The CGI is not all bad but the special effects in general are terrible. The set is missing! They must not have had a budget allotment for location. Looks like the US Air Force operates out of Mayberry. I pity the actors who tried to make something out of the crap they were given. They could only afford about a dozen actors total and less than five extras to play dead citizens. The longer the debacle goes on the worse it get. SyFy should drop the current name and use something like ShytCrap since they mainly produce shyte these days.
stumpmee77 I saw a movie worse than the original Stargate. So cheap they didn't bother hiring extras to make it appear that it was a MAJOR city under attack. The setting should have been a small town and the aliens should have attacked at night. The ship was cgi, the blowups were cgi they couldn't make tiny cgi people--There were tiny cars. I refer to the opening scene, specifically the alien's opening attack. I was warned then and there but I thought it will get better--No. I saw one dead civilian in a parking lot, a highway, whatever. The arm forces (one couldn't pay me to guess which branch they were) running around, screaming, shooting, running some more, screaming some more. The guy form the 1940's gets big intro and does nothing as far as I watched which was an hour. Ninja gal gets introduced my sense of someone insulting my intelligence raises to levels I can no longer ignore and I went to bed. My thoughts are paralyzed in terms how further I should go describing the badness so I'm going to stop. Sometime in the very near future I'm going to watch Independence Day.
turbone Can you believe the SyFy channel is still playing this garbage? When will they get a clue? I used to watch the channel all the time when they had some good shows on. But since changing their format and name, its been nothing but crappy grade c movies and WWE wrestling (REALLY?) Whenever I see this movie on SyFy, I think maybe they are playing the one that came out at the same time. And each time I'm disappointed. When they first televised the movie I actually stomached 20min of it. I had already seen Battle LA and was astounded (almost) that there was another movie with almost the same name on TV. I'm sending a email to the SyFy network to beg them to stop showing this travesty of a movie.
Gyx The one n only The quality of this movie has nothing to do with low budget, but a complete lack of skills. From everyone. And it's not in the category "so bad, it makes you laugh" either. I'm actually angry that they made me waste at least 10 minutes of my life on this piece of c. Makes you wonder who actually paid someone to make this, was it a lost bet? A rich person that had it on his/hers bucket list? Not a blind person i guess, because even with your eyes closed the FX and dialog's suck. Your four year old niece could probably come up with a more creative idea for aliens after seeing Independence day. The actors must have known about the script and the concept before they signed, because they are of equal quality. Of course, being in so much pain after 10 minutes that i had to turn it off, i might not have seen the whole crew. Isn't there anything positive? Anything? Nope. Unless a few beautiful faces is enough for you. Oh, and isn't it a criminal offense to name the title almost identical to an actually good movie?
