Karry Best movie of this year hands down!
AutCuddly Great movie! If you want to be entertained and have a few good laughs, see this movie. The music is also very good,
BeSummers Funny, strange, confrontational and subversive, this is one of the most interesting experiences you'll have at the cinema this year.
Invaderbank The film creates a perfect balance between action and depth of basic needs, in the midst of an infertile atmosphere.
a_baron This is a review only of the documentary, which runs to around 46 minutes. This film was made around four years before her tragic death at the age of 27 - like so many other tragic figures in the world of music from Kurt Kobain to the one she most closely resembles, Janis Joplin. Joplin's fatal weakness was heroin. Amy's was alcohol. And men. Stunningly attractive with that trademark enormous beehive, the stud in her face was perhaps excusable - a lot of young women do this nowadays for some bizarre reason - but the tattoos down her arms...yuk. At this time she was already struggling with drink, but that is not shown here, although she talks about her inner demons. We see her laughing a lot, including from older footage, and we hear from her crew, sundry fans, and at length from her biggest fan, her Dad, who since her death in 2011 has set up and run the Amy Winehouse Foundation. What more can be said? This is a glimpse into a life that was and one that could have been.
Ignacio Migueles (ignacio-mig14) "I Told you I was Trouble" shows British soul singer Amy Winehouse in great shape. 2007 was a very busy but equally successful year for her, and in this DVD you can see everything that made me and others fall in love with this woman. Every look, move, smile and singing she does here is divine, and her doll dress and shoes makes her look even more lovable. It makes me doubt she's in fact real. Still, this particular concert doesn't show the whole potential of Amy's voice, which she displayed in other shows like Milano and Eurockeennes in 2007 and many of 2004, but as this is the only one released on DVD, I can't help but rate it 10/10 anyway. She performs the most known songs from "Back to Black" and my favorites from "Frank", including Cherry and Pumps, that she really seemed to enjoy performing and gift us her most beautiful smiles while doing it. If you're a fan this is a definitely must have, being the only official DVD around, and if you want to start knowing about this great artist, this won't let you down. 10/10 but vocally it's still not her best show.
