Plantiana Yawn. Poorly Filmed Snooze Fest.
Exoticalot People are voting emotionally.
BoardChiri Bad Acting and worse Bad Screenplay
Aiden Melton The storyline feels a little thin and moth-eaten in parts but this sequel is plenty of fun.
bedencic Interesting idea if whole country would have only 1 crime to solve. But with crimes throughout the country it would be almost impractical. Imagine you have phone, and you get 20 alerts daily. (or if you are in US, NY, 600alerts daily) Would anyone really bother with using that app constantly?Maybe good idea for collecting witness statements.
cocobinay I love these types of shows such as Person of Interest which explored this concept much more intelligently. BUT this one insults the viewers intelligence so much that instead of suspending my belief, I find myself screaming at the screen in anger. The show is full of plot holes, lazy writing, plain stupid things that none who's barely versed in computers, police procedures and basic human common sense can think plausible. ************** Spoilers ****************THE PREMISE: The idea of the wisdom of the crowd in solving crimes has a glaringly obvious and dangerous potential for mob justice: just posting every lead on a crime investigation on the web, without vetting, police clearance nor any discussions of legality and ramifications, could compromise investigations and easily get people hurt or worse. THE TECHNOLOGY:Sophe's technology is admittedly unproven and is actually being trained to solve these crimes by solving real ones in real time (YES!) with people's life hanging in the balance?? And side from a company that wants a piece of the action, Tanner is facing no opposition from the police, the ACLU, politicians or the concerned public??? Also, when you see how Tanner's ex-wife opens up an account on the Sophe platform you may smack your forehead so hard to have get a concussion (SERIOUSLY!)THE COMPANY: Jeffrey Tanner, despite the understandable pain of losing a daughter, is the kind of insufferable character you may only root for because of the trust others have blindly put into him. He doesn't seem to possess neither the business acumen of someone who built a multi-billion company nor the technical savvyness of the tech god he's made out to be. Sophe gets hacked on the very 1st day, and you wouldn't believe it, through his cell phone!!!! THE POLICE: The indulgence, access and assistance that Tanner gets from the police is neither warranted nor appropriate, given that he's investigating his own daughter's murder, which is supposedly a closed case. In Episode 4, Detective Cavanaugh comes back to the office to find Tanner, a private citizen, ON HIS DESK, ON HIS COMPUTER looking up stuff, all that in the BLEEPING POLICE PRECINCT!!! Also, in the same episode, Sara (Tanner's computer whiz of an assistant/lover) is sitting in in the questioning of the victim's wife & brother, only hours after she was arrested in a counter-protest against the white supremacist event the victim had organized, and, OH! she's allowed to ask questions. That's before, I KID YOU NOT, the interrogation devolves into a debate on race superiority between her and the victim's neo- nazi brother. But hold onto your hats, because this was actually the police chief's idea to bring on Tanner to help with the investigation only after 2 cases (as some mix of PR and civic engagement). This is not only forced, but downright stupid: there was NO TRAINING, NO VETTING, NO LEGAL COUNCIL, NO CHECKS OR BALANCES, and may I remind you, this is a man who got into this because he was rich and lost his daughter? Now he's a crime-fighting genius the SFPD can't do without? SERIOUSLY???? FURTHERMORE, anyone with a half a brain would know that any evidence collected by the Sophe team will likely be inadmissible, which not only jeopardizes Tanner's own plans to solve the murder of his daughter, but also makes the life of the possibly innocent man already in jail for the crime in grave danger (Episode 3), to say nothing of the risk to the career and sanity of his ex-wife, who by all semblances, seems like competent and compassionate public servant. THE Plot holes: Supposedly the man is a billionaire, who waits for 12 MONTHS to look some more into the murder of his daughter. No private detectives, no retired cops or ex-CIA agents, nothing in the meantime. In Episode 2, he reaches out to the outdoorsy crowd, to find the missing kid, but also to show off the forest service personnel (OUTDOOR EXPERTS par excellence, if you ask me!). He ends up being the one to find the kid, only because he gives the Forest service search party the wrong data first, leading them to ignore the corrected data he proposes next. In Episode 3, where the murders were supposedly connected by proximity to construction sites, the culprit is caught ready to melt the evidence in acid: This was months and months after the crimes, and the guy still had a duffel bag full of evidence AT WORK! Seriously???
mikester-80431 Concept of this show is utterly ludicrous. It expects the audience to presume the average person on the street has an IQ something north of a potato. We know thats not true though. So..... if we sum up the collective intelligence of a crowd of potatos that then = wisdom??? Lets see... years ago there was a song that went something like.."... things that make you say hmmmmm". Nuff said.
Cbengel-941-123169 I was really excited about the show. I watch the first three episodes and really liked it. When I got to the fourth episode "user bias", I was extremely upset about it. When you add politics into a show it really ruins it, especially when it is not a true portrayal of what's going on in our country. The supposed "anti-fascist" Fascists are the violent protesters. The very small number of white supremacists who have come out have mostly been non-violent until provoked by the fascists. I don't know if i will watch again. You really know how to ruin a show by inserting political garbage into a good concept show.
