This movie was so-so. It had it's moments, but wasn't the greatest.

To all those who have watched it: I hope you enjoyed it as much as I do.

At first rather annoying in its heavy emphasis on reenactments, this movie ultimately proves fascinating, simply because the complicated, highly dramatic tale it tells still almost defies belief.

Blistering performances.

Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt begins her life entering a new strange world trying to figure out how to live her life with her new friends out side of the bunker. it starts amazingly but have found that each season declines in quality. the fourth season is unwatchable and makes me feel like I'm watching a kids show from start to finish.

I reeeeeeally loved it! At first it was really weird but then you get usted to it. Run Lillian!

Season 1 was perhaps the funniest thing I've seen in years; crazy improv that was something of a cross between Green Acres, and just about anything the Zucker and Farrelly Bros. and Seth McFarlane ever put together, all rolled up in one.
Then, Season 2...and apparently the writers from Season 1 left. I read where Tina Fey felt Ellie Kemper could carry her own series. Well, either they felt she couldn't, or there was some infighting, or Kemper might have been ill. The comedic timing isn't there anymore and what humor there is seems forced.
I haven't seen Season 3, but the reviews here don't sound promising; I hope they let Kemper be Kemper - and bring back Krakowski's daughter with the unpronounceable name - she was a hoot!

The idea for this show is insane. The show itself is insane. For me, that works only if you have clever writing and good actors to carry it out. Many of the actors in this show were able to satisfy me, however some did fall a little short. I felt like Mrs. Voorhees' character fell flat for me, for example. This show manages to put a spin on the classic "girl gets used to the big city" trope, and turns it into "girl gets used to the big city after being held underground for 15 years." It's quirky, but it gets so quirky sometimes that I simply lose concentration on what's going on. That's why I think this show won't be for everybody. It works for me, though, the humor is enough to keep my satisfied and I appreciate Tituss' character more than you might expect. There were some gags I plain hated but there were even more that I found laugh-out-loud funny. This show works for me, but I can understand why it might not work for someone else.
