Matho The biggest problem with this movie is it’s a little better than you think it might be, which somehow makes it worse. As in, it takes itself a bit too seriously, which makes most of the movie feel kind of dull.

Caryl It is a whirlwind of delight --- attractive actors, stunning couture, spectacular sets and outrageous parties. It's a feast for the eyes. But what really makes this dramedy work is the acting.

Rodrigo Smithian I was sitting at my dentist's office waiting for my appointment. The dentist have difficulties and I had to wait a bit more, the TV was on, and then pops that horrid show.I saw an entire episode: OMG Am I in hell? That show is a remake of a south American soap opera. Betty reminds me a nerd girl from school. That was weird. This show is a total dull. I ask my dentist's clerk if I could chance the channel and she answers: "the TV control is missing." Then I ask her her again: "manually?" She answers: the TV button's not working. My cell phone battery was off and I have no choice but see that crap. So I had a headache when the show is over. And believe me: no one was watching that.After that horrible nightmare, I never visit that dentist ever.

rwxup My daughter and I just watched all 4 seasons of the show on Netflix. We want a movie. It is funny, heartbreaking and usually family oriented. Bring back "Betty". Television and movies in 2013 tends to be trashy. "Ugly Betty" is tastefully done and entertaining. Even my husband became hooked on Betty and was sad to see it end. We may have to resort to books for entertainment as the summer wains. Although books are brain food, "Ugly Betty" is soul food. Stop our Betty withdrawals and make a movie! Daniel and Betty can fall in love. Hilda can have another baby. Their father can be the hit at the local senior center in Queens while Justin goes off to college, becomes a politician and becomes a voice for gay rights. "Ugly Betty" with its witty characters, original music and family friendly plots needs to return to the viewing audience. It portrays several American families struggling to survive and living the dreams in spite of the many roadblocks thrown in their way. If you haven't watched it yet, you should. It teaches so many lessons to those willing to watch and learn.

Ira Hello. I am from Russia. I love this show. America Ferrera is great. Freddy Rodriguez is amazing. I fell in love with him. The character Gio is one of my favorite characters. I would like to see more of the interaction between Betty and Gio. Gio adored Betty and when he kissed her it was thrilling. I miss Gio. I don't find much humor in the show anymore. I loved the sexy and witty banter between Gio and Betty. He made her laugh and encouraged her. Matt is boring. Don't get me wrong, Matt is sweet. But he isn't "the guy". Betty deserve better! Gio was the one who got Betty to go to the next level.Writer, please, bring back Gio! I love Freddy Rodriguez!!!!

insomniac_rod I need to be honest towards this t.v. series. Before watching it I was very skeptical because a series with the same name was very successful here in México but it was a piece of crap. So I thought, "Salma Hayek and other investors bought the rights to make the American version but the dialogs, situations, and even jokes will be the same crap".My sister bought the first season and she made me watch it against my will. To my surprise, I found the show to be extremely well done, witty, charming, and even very funny. The acting is probably what makes it 50% watchable but the overall atmosphere made up by settings, music, art direction and pacing is what makes this t.v. show a huge triumph.Also, Betty's family and situation in the country is the closet thing to reality. So as a plus, we have a strong and funny social message.America Ferrara steals the show as Betty. She's very funny and keeps the pacing correctly. She was born to play the character.Also, I need to be honest about this...I won't be watching this show regularly because I have other favorite shows but the impression that it left me with the first season made me show respect to it.And for those who say that this show will make many women sad because of the jokes towards an "ugly" woman like Betty; I suggest to calm down. Everything on the show is funny (even the over the top gay actors, ugh) and done without cruelty.
