Linkshoch Wonderful Movie
Doomtomylo a film so unique, intoxicating and bizarre that it not only demands another viewing, but is also forgivable as a satirical comedy where the jokes eventually take the back seat.
Fleur Actress is magnificent and exudes a hypnotic screen presence in this affecting drama.
Francene Odetta It's simply great fun, a winsome film and an occasionally over-the-top luxury fantasy that never flags.
DCfan This by far is no doubt the best example of reboot especially for the next generation who don't know Thundercats that well and I am one of those. I am a person who grew up in the early 2000's and trust coming from a person who got introduced to the thundercats because of this incarnation. It's a great show. This show goes into detail on how Lion O got his hands on the sword and the book of omens, why his team had to abandon their village after the lizard army invaded and the past history of all of Lion O's teammates and some of his villains. This shows action is good without coming out flat or boring and it's dramatic/comedy moments are great with out coming out as forced or slapstick. Unlike that infamous Thundercats Roar that is coming out soon. This show had a lot of good episodes but some of them just were boring or just time fillers like that episode where it only focused on Willykit and Willykat being thieves for Toolkit and using his forever bag as storage. That was the only that was a bore but I liked majority of every other episode.I only wish that this show had more support at the time it was on because it was cancelled for one of the most idiotic reason either toys weren't selling well or because it was too expensive to animate. If Cartoon Network didn't want to finish it off they could have gave the licences to Adult Swim or Netflix to continue. But bloody Cartoon Network had to be money greedy trolls and use the same animation just to make that pitfully Thundercats roar which nobody wants. For some reason it would be like Teen Titans Go all over again.I also like how this reboot has taken on an anime style tone within it's art style which I really like it is cleaver that they took the same approach with the 2009 He-Man series. This is the Thundercats series I want to see so hopefully you would too. I just hope they bring it back so it can finish off it's last season. Someday.
Jake Hickenbottom I first would like to thank WB Animation studios for Producing such a rich and wonderful season of my beloved childhood heroes. If you are a true Thundercat fan you will enjoy this series. It is with great sadness to report that Cartoon Network has canceled this wonderful series. We can blame the Cartoon Giant for this one. With a horrible time slot and push for shows like adventure time, Cartoon network really had no idea who the target audience was. Only after the show was canceled it aired on the late night Toonami. Well.... The ratings speak for itself. This show is awesome. It is a shame that Cartoon Network did not see this from the beginning. I guess the toy sales really cant be pushed on Toonami and Cartoon network only cares about money and not their viewers.
TheLittleSongbird Not quite as great as the original series, which was/is one of the best animated shows of the 80s, but almost there and among some of the better animated shows in the past decade or so. The animation is fluid and detailed, if lacking a little in uniqueness (more of an anime sort of look, not a bad thing though, rather than the painterly one of the original series), and it was really nice to see the character designs updated to styles a little more relevant now. The music has its fair share of beautiful, haunting and rousing themes, the lack of a main theme is a little disappointing but doesn't hurt the show that much. The writing has a little humour in respect to the fun of the original show and is also very thoughtful, while the story lines maintain the fun of the original show while taking a darker approach with themes of racism and slavery. And it does that while respecting the original show but showing more mature and relevant themes and incorporating them with little if any heavy-handedness. The action is also very thrilling, and animated beautifully. The characters are engaging and developed very well, while the story lines are paced in a way that episodes move swiftly room is always left to introduce and develop characters and their relationships. Here the heroes and villains are equally interesting, admittedly in the original series the villains were a little more interesting than the heroes. It was an interesting choice having Snarf mute, and it was a choice that did pay off. The voice acting is very dynamic and suit the characters well without being too stereotypical. All in all, almost as good as the original show and as a re-boot Thundercats(2011) is excellent. 9/10 Bethany Cox
toronto_ghostbuster I have to admit, at first the animation seemed a little too current for Thundercats. Once I got over it, the show really grew on me.The slow introduction of the original characters, and the deep, evolving storyline kept me hooked until the last episode. There's much more continuity than the original series, and to be honest, when stacked up against the original this one is actually more interesting to watch. I was looking forward to seeing Lion-O grow into a Mature, wise leader but it looks like the show might be cancelled after season 1.Unfortunately the animation is not quite abstract enough for today's youth as the heads of the characters don't look like squares, or weird triangles, and the bodies are not made of weird shapes. That's really too bad because I saw a lot of potential for this series.
