craignobbs I found this series really good and thoroughly enjoyable. The acting was excellent and portrayed Elizabeth York as a young, innocent girl who was the "pawn" in her mother's plan, ( and Margaret Beaufort), to restore a country where war had ravaged the land and left very little for the people to build on. Women during this period were seen as "man's provider" - very few women ran their own household or owned land/property. This was a man's world and women had to do as they were told.

cristina-moon-695-963800 In my lifetime, I have seen many series. All kinds of series, long and short, legendary and poor. What I have never done is utterly regretting seeing a series. Just like I completely regret seeing The white princess (twp) -- it almost crushed for me the original series, The White Queen. All along twp I desperately tried to remember the original cast and how well they played their parts. TWQ wasn't a perfect series, but it was good nevertheless.My personal principal thought is that I want to WARN people about how utterly horrible this series is !!! The concept "horrible" doesn't even begin to describe it!!! I am a very optimistic person, and thus I hoped until the last minute of it that at least the ending would make up how horrible the series has been. But it ultimately represented the final drop of poison.

darkangelheart I enjoyed this overall, The drama gives a perspective a view point, on events in history, not facts. I loved Margaret Beaufort in this, well played, the dominant female. Elizabeth of York, is open to interpretation on what she was truly like,in reality we can guess, we can imagine there was allot of spirit in her.I do not know how much research the actors who played in this did into the characters they played. mrskv78 Only negative would be that it is one season only. I loved the well played story lines and extra drama added. The outfits worn by all the actors and actresses. It was really very well cast. I think they could of extended the story towards the end but nevertheless it had a decent ending as it was in history. I would not compare it with other shows about the royals as each show brings something unique and special to the table. Definitely worth watching!
